Merida in Berk

Chapter 4

Hiccup's POV

So here I am hanging on a snare, staring upside down at my own best friend and a girl I just met who'd I expressed my feelings towards and yet I'm still hanging.

"I'm afraid the dragon says no" she said.

"Oh come on please," I begged.

"Ugh fine, I'll try to get you down!" She said.

She found a sharp rock and tried to cut the vine with it but It was taking a very long time.

"You know I have a dragon who can retract his sharp teeth and just cut through the vine right?" I said

She glared at me and through the rock over her shoulder. She called over Toothless and he chomped on the vine. Which of course caused me to fall on my face.

"Thanks for nothing you useless reptile!" I said (OH COME ON THAT'S LIKE THE BEST LINE IN THE MOVIE)

I looked up and saw Merida laughing. Man she has a great laugh.

When she was finished she said "So it sounds like you like me." She smirked

My cheeks were warm "uh well yeah I mean what's not to like you're funny cool you can shoot stuff....."

"Well you know being able to shoot stuff is a top priority for you." She joked

"Hey, I really do think you're all those stuff.......and yes pretty."

I couldn't even look at her god she must think I'm such a lo-

Before I could finish that thought she was hugging me. Hugging me! Wow this was great!

We just stood there for a while, me enjoying every second. Then when I thought things couldn't get better they did. Yup she kissed me on the mouth. It was awesome. When she pulled back all I could say was "wow." And then of course me being a dork I lost my balance and fell backwards.

"Are you okay?" She asked

"Yeah, I'm perfect, god I can't believe I fell backwards." I replied

"You're such a moron." She giggled "come on let's get the rest of these traps and head back."
