Merida in Berk

Chapter 3

Hiccup's POV

Well I gotta say this girl is definitely loud sarcastic and stubborn......isn't she just great. I realized I had one of my goofy smiles on my face. Snap out of it Hiccup you barely no this girl and she's already been through a lot.

She told me she was from Scotland (I could tell from the accent) which as you know is only about 12 miles from Berk. She also told me how she lived for archery, unfortunately she lost her bow getting away from the dragon.

We finally got to Rapunzel's hut and I knocked on the door. Out comes Rapunzel and immediately she hugs Merida.

"Oh I'm so glad to see your up! How are you feeling? Did you rest well? What's your name? Where are you from?"

"Uhh thanks, good, yes, Merida, and Scotland."

"Of course I should've known by your accent, come in both of you!"

Rapunzel led us to her living room and asked Merida all kinds of new questions finally me and Merida left to go out hunting for food.

"She's a talker that blondie, isn't she!" She said

"Yeah sorry, she means well though,"

"I know she's very nice, so how longs the walk from here to the hunting grounds?"

"Ha walking! We'll be riding Toothless of course!"

"Oh no no way I'm getting on that lizard with wings!"

"Oh come on you'll like him come here."

Merida's POV

Hiccup took my hand and guided me towards the dragon.

"Hiccup I'm not so sure about this!"

"Shh don't be too loud you'll startle him and trust me you'll be fine." He reassured me.

Hiccup placed my hand on the beasts snout. Toothless closed his eyes and I felt more calm and safe.

"Alright now that you and Toothless have gotten to know each other let's go!"

Before I could say anything he had gotten on the dragon and pulled me up behind him.

"Ready GO!" He yelled

I screamed at first in fright, but then in joy! We were so high up! I touched the clouds and it was truly amazing!! 

I'm riding a dragon! We finally came down to the empty grounds.

"So what do you eat around here?" I asked.

"Almost anything."

"Sounds like my kind of place, let set some snares up."

We started hooking up our snares when I felt something slimy hit my back. It was a fish. "oh you've made this war now Hiccup."

"What that wasn't me that was Tooth-"

I chucked the fish at him and hit him straight on the forehead. We continually started smacking each other with fishes we found by the pond.

"I surrender!" He finally said

We decided to rest by Toothless

"So how'd you find Toothless?" I asked.

"Well when I met toothless my village was very different back then. You see dragons were our enemies. I was too skinny....well I am too skinny to fight out in the battlefield because I couldn't throw the weapons very far. He stated

"So I created this invention that could do it for me and I ended up hitting Toothless in the forest with it and I was going to kill him to prove to my village I had finally caught a dragon but he was just so helpless tangled in the ropes, I felt guilty so I cut him lose and set him free and we began a friendship."

"Wow that must've taken a lot of courage to do that." I said.

"Nah not really, personally I'm just not the killing type."

"Well to me, that's a good thing and I think you're pretty cool."

"Thanks, you're pretty too."

"What?!"

"Uh I said I think you're pretty cool too!" He stumbled

"No you didn't you sai-"

"Oh hey look I think we caught something"

He ran over to the traps.

"Wait Hiccup watch out!!"

Too late he had landed in one of my snares and he was now hanging by his good foot upside down!

I began to laugh and laugh.

"Haha very funny, can you let me down now?" He said.

"Not until you admit what you said!"

"Nope not gonna happen" he smirked

"Well I guess you're not getting down!" I said

"Fine I admit it!" He said

"Admit what?" I asked

"I admit that I think you're pretty, fun, and one of the coolest people I've ever met even though I've known you for like a day or two! Alright now can you let me down!?"

"Hmm maybe!" I turned to Toothless "what you think should we let the poor lamb down?" He shook his head no.

Haha I like this dragon.
