Merida in Berk

Chapter 17

Hiccup's POV

"Your powers of course." Said Jack as he brought out a vile from his pocket.

"How'd you.....?" I asked

"It fell once Pitch turned to dust." He threw me the vile. "Drink up!"

I took the vile and drank it. I felt the surge of my powers go through me . It was like a part of me was missing and now it had finally returned. I then transformed into my dragon self and began to fly around. Woo hoo I shouted with glee. Then I realized.

"Toothless! Where is he?" I said.

Once I said his name I heard a large roar come from high above the ceiling. I saw him there in the shadows in a muzzle and metal bars constricting him. I flew up and unmuzzled my friend and he broke out if the bars. He then flew on top of me causing us both to crash onto the ground.

"I missed you too bud." I said.

He then saw Merida and tackled her as well.

"Hiccup!! Get him off!" She laughed as he tried to lick her face.

Everything was back to normal.

We all went back to Scotland and reunited Merida with her parents. They were overjoyed to see she was safe. Her dad gave me a pat on the shoulder while her mother gave me a hug. The boys then thought it would be funny if they tied my good leg to Toothless' saddle and taunted him with fish so he would run off dragging me behind. I'm so getting them back for this.

The next day we had yet another ball for the princess' return and everything went smoothly,well except for me getting back at the triplets by putting hot spices in their desert. You should've seen them running around the table and finally dunking their heads into the punch bowl.

After the ball I took Merida outside to the stables for some air.

"That trick you pulled on me brothers was a good one Hic, I never knew you had it in ya." She smiled mischievously.

"Hey they started I was just making it even." I smiled and held her hand.

"Hey Merida if I ask you something can you not freak out." I asked.

"Hmmm I'll try." She said

"Listen I know you're not ready for marriage, I respect that but I was just thinking, maybe it wouldn't be so bad just to be..........engaged for a while...... You know not rush with the wedding plans but still have it in mind........." I said twiddling my thumbs.

"Are you asking me to marry you Hiccup?" She asked.

"No.... Well kinda........well yes............but I understand if you're not ready or you don't want to or....." Before I could finish she pulled me into one of our famous hugs.

"Yes." She said

"Did you just say yes?" I asked.

"No.....well maybe........well yes." She said mocking me.

"Haha very funny." I said. "Make fun of the guy who just purposed to you."

"Well someone has to." She said slyly

"I thought princess' were supposed to be polite and humble." I said.

"What princess' have you been talking to?" She said sarcastically.

"No one better than you." I said.

She put her arms around my neck and said, "You're way too nice for me Hic."

We then kissed and it took all of me not to fall backwards again.

AUTHORS NOTE: YAY!!!!! HICCUP GOT HIS POWERS BACK AND HIM AND MERIDA ARE HAPPY!!!! EPILOGUE IS COMING UP SOON! BY THE WAY INSTEAD OF MAKING A SEQUAL OM GOING TO MAKE A BRAND NEW STORY INCLUDING THE BIG FOUR THIS TIME I'LL HAVE EQUAL VIEWS OF JACKUNZEL AND MERRICUP SO LOOK FORWARD TO THAT SINCE I AM PFF OF SCHOOL NOW!!!! YAY
