JEALOUSNESS

Bill's eyes darkened considerably as he watched the girl interact with Dipper, his lips curling back to expose his sharp teeth. His shoulder began to move slightly as he wanted to get closer but a hand on his wrist stopped him.

"Bill, you need to leave him alone, he broke up with you" Mabel said calmly, pulling the man back and cupping his cheeks. A growl escaped his throat and she frowned, shaking a finger at him.

"She wouldn't treat him right" Bill spat out and Mabel raised a brow.

"But that's why he broke up with you, you lied and tricked him" She pointed out and his lips inched back again baring his teeth. He just shoved her away from him, turning and stalking towards Dipper and the girl.

Almost immediately he rammed headfirst into a barrier and stumbled back, his eyes wide.

Dipper flinched, looking up over at him warily, Bill watching as Dipper rubbed absentmindedly at a new tattoo on his wrist.

The demon slammed his fist down against the wood and with a low hiss he was gone.

--

"Mabel...Mabel I'm starting to feel bad about this" Dipper poked at his food slowly.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean...Bill's..."

"He's just an overly emotional demon, don't worry about him" Mabel soothed, reaching over the table and patting his forearm.

Tears pricked at Dipper's eyes but he nodded.

--

Blood stained Bill's yellow button down, a low whine escaping him as he let his head fall foreword.

He sat on the porch, his gloves discarded and his head in his bloody hands. He'd let his jealousy get to him and now that girl was dead.

A tear rolled down his cheek and he wiped it away, Dipper would never want to be near him again. His hands slowly shifted and laced behind his head, a quiet sob escaping him. He should have just used the symbols and moved on, he didn't mean to get attached to them.

"Bill"

He flinched, a shaky breath leaving his lips, though he acknowledged the mention of his name.

"I'm..sorry" Dipper walked towards him slowly, wringing his hands together.

The demon just shook his head and tried to stay still, waiting for the barrier but it never came.

"I know, that..you were right, they lied to me" Dipper sat down beside him, "they told me that you had deceived me, but they lied"

Bill let out another broken sob, falling over and putting his head on Dipper's lap, the human running his fingers through Bill's hair.

"I should have listened to you" Dipper bent down and pressed a kiss to his cheek, "I'm sorry"

Bill turned over and stared up at him, tears running down his cheeks, "why"

"Why what?"

"why do you believe in me"

"Because I know that you're doing what's best for me" Dipper murmured and Bill's breath hitched in his throat.

Slowly Bill's hands moved up Dipper's face before lacing in his hair and pulling him down, kissing him gently.

"thank you"

Dipper smiled sadly and kissed him back, "you didn't have to kill her, couldn't you see I wasn't interested in her?" He laughed weakly and Bill gazed up at him, his eyes shining slightly.

"She was trying to make an advance on you, and I have to take care of what's mine"

Dipper kissed him again, "well, I should be thanking you for that then" he chuckled and Bill smiled.

"I do love you pine tree, I hope you see that"

"Oh I do, and I love you too"
