I'm glad that we're allies with the humans. Although we're strong and powerful, nothing is more terrifying than an angry human brandishing an enchanted diamond sword. Compared to them, we're as useless as bats.

But often I feel like a tool, used by the humans to protect them when they're weak. My human isn't particularly strong. They created me to protect them, yet I don't like the responsibility. I wish I was something more simple, like... a snow golem.

Snow golems don't have any responsibilities. They bring a smile to humans' faces when they see the trails of snow that they spread. Every day is happy, and they don't need to worry about valiantly protecting the humans.

I'm forced to risk my life for these humans. Unlike wolves, I can't be healed. If I get hurt, I stay hurt. No human is going to feed me meat. After all, they can always build another one.

As a pumpkin seed, I wanted to lead a peaceful life. I knew about the things I could do, and I dreamed about being a snow golem, carefree and living simply.

But the human who built me was an experienced man. After a long day of mining, he had nearly a whole stack of iron, and crafted a full set of iron armour and a sword. Then he used the leftover iron to build me.

Why did he waste his iron on me? With that iron he could have crafted another set of armour and a full set of tools, with still one iron ingot to spare! Yet he still decided to use his hard-to-find iron instead of snow, which had no other use!

I still don't understand. Humans are hopeless, ruining lives. Hopeless.
