Dylan felt the painkiller drugs circling in him. They burned down his veins, and he didn't know if he liked the pain in the leg more than this horrible sensation. He opened his eyes and found a white ceiling above him, a needle was in his hand and he felt so damn bad.

„Hi," he heard a soft voice and glanced up, but was upset and disappointed spotting Zero right next to his bed.

„Are you happy? You should be, he wants you, not me," Dylan looked away.

„Oh come on, he was fascinated by what I can do," Zero sighed.

„Yes, and I can't do it. I couldn't rescue him, he saved my ass," Dylan was so flustrated.

„You used your body as a shield to protect him, you're a hero," Zero grabbed his hand but he moved it further from her.

He felt pain, burning pain no painkillers could kill.

„He said he wants to maku you his next girlfriend"

Dylan was about to thorw something against the wall, but there was nothing in his reachzone.

„You're giving in too quickly. There always will be other people and yes, some of them will want the same person. So guess what, you have to fight for him. Start to fight for what's important for you," she looked at him and Dylan felt cold tears.

„I can't," he said. „Now go," he turned his back to her.

Zero sighed and left the room.

♥♥

It was two days later and Dylan was watching the air in the garden darkening in th twilight. He was still on strong medicine, and he tried to walk as less as possible.

„Do you want me to bring something for you sweetheart?" Mrs. Smith came into the room.

She was scary but lovely at the same time.

„No thank you Mrs." He tried to smile, and she left the house.

Dylan thought about his own mother. Her face was slowly fading from his memory. How was she? He barely knew her. He was a orphan, that had spent his young years in a public facility. Then this couple came - young, rich, and happy. But somehow they made him feel uncomfortable. They adopted him and soon he found out why. They made their money on killing people and they decided to put another person into the business. They were sociopaths and when he turned seventeen, he run away form them, using what he had learnt to survive. He tried to find another way and worked in a shop and in a bar, but when he got hopeless, or run out of money, he took the easier way, and logged into the hidden lists, to find the most accesable targets. Soon he didn't need to work anymore. He started collage. The classes and the literary club were keeping him busy, away form guilt or nightmares. And than she found him. She called. Zero. The famous Zero. The best assassin he ever heard about. But she hired him not to kill, but to protect someone.

Dylan shivered when he heard voices.

He looked up and saw a group of young people, boys and girls, running into the livingroom. Minutes later Thomas joined them. He had a bright smile, and seemed like a creature form another world. He was dressed casually but elegant, his blonde hair was dancing by every move.

„Thomas, we must hurry up," a pretty girl took his hand.

He hugged her tightly longer then the others.

The girl had dark hiar with voilet ends and a sweet smile.

„Dylan, how are you?" Thomas turned around and Dylan tried to breath stedy when the blonde's eyes landed on him.

„Better," Dylan lied and put the blanket he had on his legs.

„I'm glad, take some rest, we'll be out the whole night, partying on my yacht," Thomas smiled.

„Thomas are you sure it's safe?" asked Dylan.

"Zero will be with us, she's giving me and Kaya a ride," Thomas grabbed the beautiful girl's waist and she seemed so happy. "See you tomorrow," Thomas waved and left the house with his crew.

They were loughig loud and the house went so quiet, when they closed the door behind them.

♥♥

„Thomas, Thomas, it's enough!" Kaya garbbed his vodka glass and Thomas shivered.

„I want to have fun, who knows how many days I have left," he joked about the tragic truth.

„What are you going to do?" Kaya looked at him.

„Have sex," Thomas smiled.

He glanced around the deck. The party was burning and the crowd was moving on the dancefloor. His eyes fell on the only one person outside - Zero. She was wearing black and she was standing there, like inside a meditation leaned on the barrier. Thomas shivered. There was something about her that made him tempted.

„I'll find a nice girl," he smiled.

„Thomas, what about love, can you fall in love at least one time?" Kaya grabbed his arm.

„Don't be grumpy, love's for loosers."

She let go and he run out to the open deck and leaned on the barrier few meters form Zero.

He galnced at her, the cool wind was playing wit her dark hair, and she looked at Thomas.

He smiled and sent her his sexy gaze, but in this moment a blonde girl leaned on the barrier between him and Zero.

„Hello hottie," she said putting her long pink fingernails on his chest. „Wanna have sex tonight?" She asked loud and Zero smiled to herself.

„I want to have sex tonigt," Thomas put accent on the words he spoke and looked at Zero, her eyebrows went up.

„Hey pretty girl how many percent out of 100, do you want to have sex with this young man tonight?" asked Zero and the girl turned around.

The blonde loghed loud.

„200 percent!" She put both of her hands on Thomas' chest. „How much do you want to have sex with me?" she looked at him leaning closer to his lips.

Thomas felt a cold shiver around his heart, it felt like a stone or ice.

„Zero," he whispered and left back to the disco foor.

He felt so bad. Zero was the first person that had really rejected him, but he was so unsure about his feelings. He stopped when he saw a person making his limping way through the dancefloor.

„Dylan!" Thomas felt the little hair on his skin rising.

He run to the boy and grabbed his shoulder.

„What are you doing here, you should rest!" he said and he was worried.

„I came to try. To try to have a chance," Dylan's eyes glittered. „Dance with me," he grabbed Thomas' hand and Thomas trembled.

„So this is it, you're gay," the blonde girl appeared behind him.

„No, no, I'm totally not, he's just my. . . bodyguard," Thomas assured her, but she turned around and left.

„I can't dance with you," Thomas glanced at the foor, he couldn't bare Dylan's hurt face when he run behind the girl.

He caught her in the small corridor next to te restrooms.

„I'm sorry, it's just. . ." Thomas didn't know what to say.

But the girl grabbed his face and kissed him roughly, her tounge reached his throat and it felt so wrong, that he pushed her away.

„What?" she looked shocked.

„I can't," Thomas fet like a emotional bomb.

He run back to the disco foor but he couldn't spot Dylan anywhere.
