Thomas run to the machine and jumped inside. He put the headphones on and Zero place herselef next to him. The helicopter started immediately and left the building far behind them.
„Where are we going?" asked Thomas.
"Later," Zero glanced at the pilot and he nodded.
Soon they had left London behind and the helicopter landed on a sport club airport.
„My car is next to the gate" said Zero putting the keys in Thomas' hand.
He nodded and jumped out of the machine fighting to keep his hood on in the propeler wind.
Than he run down the runway and found a way next to the airport fence around the building. He was lucky enough to avoid the stuff and soon he reached the carpark before the entrance. He saw a big tree and a dark sport car underneath. He opened it and jumped on the passger seat. Moments later Zero appeared next to the car and jumped inside.
„So?" asked Thomas. „Any news from Dylan?"
„No," Zero was calm. „Don't worry," she said starting the car and dirving down the small road. "How are you?" she glanced at him.
"Ok," Thomas knew the pain will come but right now the rush of adrenaline stopped it.
Zero drove fast and half an hour later they reached her house.
"Is it safe?" asked Thomas.
"yes, even if not we can defend us here," Zero stopped in the garage and Thomas walked out of the car.
He sepped into the old livingroom trough the backdoor and felt his knees were getting week. All the memories became alive. He could see him making love to Dylan on the carpet and he felt tears running down his cheeks.
"Thomas, sit down, relax," Zero came in and smiled to him. „Luke, I'm home!" she said loud but no one answered. „Luke!" she shouted but the house answered with perfect silence.
Thomas glanced at Zero, both must have had the same thougth as she got slightly pale. She grabbed a gun and gave him her second gun.
„But?" Thomas hesitated.
"You learned how to defend yourself right," Zero looked at him and Thomas nodded.
He grabbed the cold gun and felt strange. He walked after Zero through the house and she checked every corridor before she moved further inside. The kitchen and the hall were clean, so was the basement and all the rooms downstairs. Zero sighed and walked up the stairs followd by Thomas. The boy felt his heart beating in the silence. Through the window above the frontdoor he noticed a black motorbike with silver parts parked right next to the door.
"The motorbike," whispered Thomas.
„It's Luke's, but he should be here," Zero was nervous.
They reached the first floor and she pushed the door of the guestroom open.
Thomas stayed there unable to walk into this room where he had fallen asleep in Dylan's arms.
"Clean," Zero appeared next to him moments later after she had checked the bathroom.
She moved to the second bathroom across the hall but it was also empty and there it was her and Luke's bedroom the last room in the house. She took a breath and entered with her gun high. She opened each wardrobe and checked under the bed, she even opened the window and glanced at both walls but it was all perfectly empty.
„I don't understand," Zero walked to the desk and sat on the chair.
Thomas stopped behind her, thousand of thoughts were running through his head.
"Maybe they kidnapped him?" he said.
„They woud have left traces," Zero glanced around.
And than her eyes fell on the opened laptop on the desk. Her face became serious and she shivered it took her a moment till she moved the mouse and the screen lit up. It was perfectly black despite the small yellow code written across it.
"What?" Thomas leand above the chair.
Zero tensed. Her muscles were tightened and she breathed loud.
"What's up, tell me," said Thomas and she turned around as pale as paper.
„Call Dylan," she said jumping up.
„What happend?" Thomas felt the fear is making him unable to breath.
"They know, they know it was our plan and that Dyaln is with us." Zero pulled her hair
„How?" Thomas felt tears storming down his face. "How could they know?" his voice cracked.
„Luke is the benefactor, Luke is paying the money and he knows you are alive. He wil kill Dylan," Zero shivered. „He told him to come to a bandoned factory in dock 455."
Zero trembled so much Thomas had never seen her in a state like thet.
„What do you mean?" he asked but he knew he understood her words.
He suddenly reacted. He passed Zero and run downstairs. He reaches the wooden shelf next to the hall mirror and tasso all the keys from a small basket on a table till he found a silver one with the same wing on it the motorbike in front of the house had.
"Thomas, Thomas you can't. I'll call the police, and the dedective," Zero run down the stairs.
But the boy opened the front door and run to the machine. He pressed the gun he got from Zero behind the belt of his jeans and he started the engine.
„Thomas," Zero run out of the house buy the pressed the gas and speeded down the road leaving her far behind him.
The dock was quiet. Dylan stopped the jeep next to the brick wall of the factory and checked his guns. He put extra bullets into his pockets and slid a knife into his shoe. He opend the car and jumped outside. The seaghuls circled above the dock and the factory and Dylan wrapped his jacket tighter around him in the cold air. He felt nervous. It was so quiet, too quiet. He walked down to the entrance of the ruin and glanced insied. He saw a long empty room and speeded inside feeling free. The silence was buzing around him and Dylan stopped few meters form the entrance.
„Hello, I came for the money," he said loud.
