Deathly silence filled the air. The tense aura of torture, guilt and despair engulfed the entire classroom. With every stroke of the pencil, tears would form in our eyes. It was everywhere. You could smell it: fear.

I gulped, scanning the page before me. The exam was only four questions. Easy? WRONG. If I get lucky and answer at least three questions right, I'd end up with a C. However, me and my stupid hyperactive self didn't even come close to understand the language written on the paper before me. Now I felt guilt take over me as well for not studying the night before. But, do I ever study?

Oh, but look at Sasuke already putting his head down. I rolled my eyes as Kakashi walked over to his desk, picking up the paper and nod as he walked back to the teacher's desk.

Smartass.

"Ten minutes left. Take your time." Kakashi announced.

Fear, guilt, torment, and our tears doubled.

Five minutes in, everybody gave up— writing whatever they could think was an answer close enough to answer the question.

Sai, who sat next to me, was practically purring in his sleep. How the fuck could he easily answer these questions and have enough time to sleep?!

"Alright, pencils down." Kakashi stood up from his seat and closed his book, preparing to collect the papers from the students desk. "Pass them up."

Quickly writing in an answer, I shed a tear or two as I passed my exam up.

I looked over at Sasuke, who was organizing the papers before handing them over to our teacher. He turned and smirked over at me, sticking his tongue out.

Bastard.

"So, foxy," Sai appeared out of nowhere, following me as I walked down the lunch line, "how was the exam?"

"Ow, Sai. You're killing me. First, don't you dare speak of the exam and second, why can't I just be alone in peace?" I groaned.

"Because, you're fun to be with, foxy." I could feel him smiling like an idiot at my nickname.

I heard a few laughs. Ah, fuck damn it.

"God damn it, Sai. If I look over behind me and everybody else is there, I'm going to—" my sentence was unfinished as I looked behind me and confirmed my suspicion.

Yes, the entire Uzumaki fan group was behind me. They were all in a line grabbing lunch and some were joking around while Sai just stood there smiling as if nothing was going on behind him.

"What can I say?" Sai smiled, shrugging. "I told you you're fun to be with."

I groaned loudly, hurrying to pass by the lunch lady and set my lunch tray down in my seat, where I was fortunate enough to not have to sit with them as they had their own table a few feet away from mine.

"Rough day so far?" Sasuke chuckled, setting his tray down next to mine. "Come on, Naruto, where's the annoying energy and loud angelic voice you love to share with everyone?"

"Shut it, nerd." I glared at him, forcefully picking my food and shoving into my mouth. Sasuke laughed, enjoying my miserable state. "Of course, you have nothing to worry about."

"You'd have nothing to worry over if you just studied like I told you to." Sasuke reminded me. When didn't he? He called me every ten minutes yesterday to tell me to get off the TV and study, but did I listen?

"Well if it isn't the blond nuisance." Sakura set her tray down in front of Sasuke. "Sasuke, babe, why don't we just sit somewhere else? I'm getting tired of having to hear and see Naruto everywhere I go."

"Oh, excuse me, princess. It's not my fault Sai and his stupid fan group like me." It was Sakura's turn to roll her eyes. "Besides, you just can't separate Sasuke and I. We're soulmates."

Sasuke coughed, almost choking on the organic salad he loved so much.

Though, sadly, Sakura and Sasuke had been dating since two months ago. At first it bothered me, but as time went, I guess I was satisfied knowing Sasuke spent more time with me than with her.

You see, ever since Sasuke and I were little, we've been close friends and though Sasuke loved to remind me that he didn't swing the same way I did, I couldn't help but keep hoping that maybe he didn't want to be out yet. I mean, maybe.

"Sasuke, want to come over my house today? My parents won't be home until next week." Sakura grabbed Sasuke's hand, smiling as her thoughts passed on over to Sasuke and Sasuke didn't hesitate to agree.

I groaned, thinking about what exactly was going to happen over at Sakura's.

The entire time at lunch, I ignored their flirting and ignored the cat calls from Sai's table.

When lunch was finally over, I was late to get to class because apparently, my fan group likes escorting me everywhere. They walked along with me, ushering me through the crowd and making a big deal out of nothing. I complained the entire way, pouting and getting angry over their childishness.

Finally, when I was left at the entrance of the classroom with their captain, Sai, we entered to witness Kakashi still lounging around with our next teacher, Gai.

"Oh, there you are, Naruto." Kakashi left Gai and walked over to me as Sai left for his seat. "We need to talk."

Great, just what I needed.

"What now, Kakashi?" I crossed my arms and watched Sasuke sit down in his seat. He stuck his tongue out at me and I returned the action.

"Ahem." Kakashi interrupted, stepping in front of me to block the view. He led me outside the classroom, where I was informed of tragic news.

"No." I said in disbelief. "Kakashi, no, please."

"Sorry, Naruto. Its just the way it is." Kakashi shrugged, patting my shoulder before walking away to his next class.

"No!" I groaned.
