"Nothing serious, just a few minor cuts. She'll be fine," Dr.Choi explained.

"Thank you doctor!" Your mom replied.

"I'll be checking my patients now. Call me if you need any help," He said, exiting the Ward.

"Are you okay Jaeyeon?" Your mom asked.

"Ya, I'm okay. You can go back to work now," You replied.

"Okay, call me if the hospital food is too disgusting. I'll cook for you," your mother said before leaving.

Bored, you went back to sleep.

When you finally woke up, you felt someone touching your hand.As you opened your sleepy eyes. You saw Jongin, clutching onto your hand, fast asleep.You thought that everything was just a dream and went back to sleep.

You woke up the next day. Jongin was still right beside you, clutching onto your hand. Realizing that it was real, you woke Jongin up.

"Jongin oppa, wake up," you said.

Jongin tilted his head up and rubbed his eyes.

"Good morning, Jaeyeon," Jongin said, still sleepy.

"Why are you here?"

"I came to apologize for kicking you that day. I didn't know it was that serious until baekhyun told me. I wanted to help but I couldn't find you," He said.

"Anyway, I'm sorry,"he continued.

"It's okay, I'm fine anyway," you replied.

"Don't you need to go to school or something?" You asked as you looked at the clock.

"I'm going to skip it, I'll be staying here until your mother arrives," he said.

"But...my mom is working overtime today. She is not coming," you said.

"Oh, I'll stay till 9pm then," he said.

"Want me to buy for you breakfast?" He asked.

"Erm...sure,"

"What do you want?"

"Plain porridge will do,"

"Okay, I'll be right back," he said before leaving.

You turned on your phone.

30 missed calls and 3 messages

Most of the missed calls were from Minah and your manager. You checked your messages.

Jaeyeon? Are you alright? Reply as soon as possible! -Minah

Do you want me to go over to visit you?-Minah

Miss Bae, are you showing up for work? You're late- Manager.

You called your manager first, explaining that you injured your leg and could not work currently. Next you called Minah to tell her that you were fine and she could visit anytime.

"Hi, I'm back," Jongin said.

"Here is your breakfast,"

"Thanks,"

You quickly glupped down your porridge and asked Jongin to bring you out for a stroll.

"But...your leg,"

"It's okay, I have a wheelchair. Bring me out,"

"If you say so,"

Jongin brought you to the hospital's park. It was filled with all kinds of flowers and insects. Alot of the patients were wandering around the park with the accompany of a nurse or their family members.

You felt the strong wind breeze blowing your face.

This is great.

"I like this place, it's so peaceful. Makes me feel alive again," you said.

" It's... beautiful,"

"I wish I can come here with my mom. We can have a pinic here,"

"Hmm...seems like a good place,"

"Do you want to go now?" Jongin continued.

"Erm.. sure,"

"Jaeyeon-ah, do you like me as a friend?"

"Erm... not really. Why the sudden question?"

"Nothing, just asking,"

Out of the sudden, he took out something from his pocket. It was a locket.

"Erm... I bought this for you because of yesterday,"

It was a heart-shaped locket. Pink and Red and colour. There were mirrors on both sides on the locket.

"T..thanks,"

"Hope you like it, I gotta go. When are you going to be discharged?" He asked

"In about two days? Depends on how long my leg heals,"

"Well okay. I'll fetch you on the last day okay?"

"But...my mom will be fetching me,"

"It's okay. I'll go ask her. Bye Jaeyeon!" He said before leaving.

Just then, the nurse came to check on you.

"Are you feeling better Ms.Bae?" Nurse Soo asked.

"A little. But it's okay,"

"Who was that young handsome boy? Is he your boyfriend?" Asked the nurse.

"He is just a friend,"

"Ah, I see. He seems to care for you alot,"

"We just met a few months ago. Maybe he cares for his new friends,"

"Or maybe he just likes you!" The nurse exclaimed out of the sudden.

"Shhhh, maybe he is still here. Keep quiet!" You whispered.

"Jaeyeon?" Minah said.

"Minah? I thought you would visit another day!"

"I heard from Jongin that your mom wouldn't be able to visit you today. So I decided to stay in!"

"What? Are you sure about that?"

"Yup! I was given permission by my parents!"

"Thank God I have company!"

"I'll be going now. I'll be back to check on you," said nurse Soo before leaving.

"So what did you do when Jongin oppa was here? Did he say anything about me?"

"Nope. Nothing at all,"

Minah's smile suddenly turned into a frown.

"What's that on your neck?" Minah asked

"Oh this? It's a locket,"

"Who gave it to you?"

"Jongin..."

"Aww...he is so sweet! I wish he could give me one too!"

"I'll ask him to do it,"

"Does the hospital food sucks?"

"Terrible," you said as you shook your head," Thank god Jongin bought for me food from outside or I could have died,"

"Oh yeah I have something for you,"

Minah took out a piece of paper from her purse and gave it to you.

"Who gave it to you?"

"I don't know. I found it stuck on your locker,"

You unfolded the letter and started reading.

Don't you dare to snatch Jongin away from me. I deserve him better than you do. You're just a plain old ugly girl. If I see you with him again. Beware what I might do.
