XVIII - Thrown into Confusion

"You're Zeke...?" Josh was simply dumbfounded at that moment. The effect of the alcohol did shut down Zander's control, but instead of either Zach or that violent alter coming out, a new persona came it. A completed version of Zeke. Slowly, Josh moved away and then helped Zach stand up.

"You seem to know my brother. Who are you?" Zach, in Zeke's persona, asked. That innocent and meek way of talking brought so many memories back to Josh. It reminded him greatly of his college days, and it made him miss Zach even more.

"I'm Josh. Joshua Daniels." Josh said. It felt weird, introducing himself to the man he had known for years.

"Joshua, it's a nice name. I like it." Zeke said with an innocent smile.

"You like me?" Josh couldn't help it. Seeing Zach act that innocent and shy just sent impulses into his brain to tease him.

"Ehhh...?" Zeke was taken aback. His cheeks flushed and he lowered his head. "That's now what I mean..." Zeke struggled to explain.

Josh chuckled. He missed seeing that reacting from Zach. "I'm sorry, I was just messing with you." His admittance only made Zeke blush even further.

"Ummm... how do you know my brother?" Zeke asked, changing the topic.

"Ahhh, I'm Zach's boyfriend." Josh replied proudly with a bright smile. That situation was getting more confusing for Josh, but he was striving his best to keep up with Zach's changing persona.

"Bo-boyfriend...?" Zeke raised his head in surprised. His eyes were wide and filled with curiosity. "Is that a joke too?" He asked in a nervous voice.

"Not at all. Me and Zach, we love each other." Josh replied.

"Love...? Is my brother happy?" Zeke asked.

Josh looked at him straight in the eyes. No matter how many times he changes persona, Josh could still see Zach in those eyes. Only Zach and no one else. "I believe so, and very happy to have him as well." Josh replied.

"Thank goodness..." Zeke sighed. "You see, my brother always takes care of me, he always thinks of my happiness, I'm glad he found someone to make him happy as well." Zeke said thankfully with a bright and innocent smile.

Josh wanted so badly to reach for Zach and pulled him into an embrace. He looked so innocent, cute, and adorable that it was really difficult for him to hold back.

"Zach is also making very happy as well. I've been the happiest ever since I met Zach." Josh replied with all sincerity. He noticed Zeke's forehead was furrowing a bit, probably because of the effect of the alcohol. "Do you want to have some coffee?" Josh asked. "It would help with your headache." Josh added caringly.

Zeke looked at Josh and then nodded shyly. With him acting that way, Josh would really have a hard time treating Zeke as just an alter of Zach. The way Zach acts when he was in college and Zeke's whole personality was just so similar.

Watching closely, Josh could find no difference between how the persona of Zeke was acting and how Josh remembered the innocent Zach during their college days.

"Is something on my face...?" Zeke asked meekly as he looked at Josh with innocent eyes, it was then that Josh realized that he had been staring at Zeke for quite a while already. He couldn't help it, he missed seeing that innocent part of Zach.

"No, it's just that, looking at you, it made me think of Zach..." Josh said honestly.

"Do you miss him?" Zeke asked.
