XXI - Be Careful what You Wish for

When faced with an unexpected and unpredictable force, one must think faster than they usually do. Their mind must be sharper than usual, and their body must be in alert at all times. The appearance of Zach's new alter was something that Josh didn't expect.

The hatred for Winona Daniels was so strong that Zach retreated back to his mind in order to avoid dealing with that anger.

The alter leaned closer to Josh for a kiss, and instinctively, Josh covered his mouth and moved his head away. The situation he was in was so complicated. He felt that kissing any alter of Zach would be cheating. It was weird for him, since he is fully aware that it was still Zach deep inside.

"Come on, don't be shy. Zach and I are not that different." The alter said in a seductive manner.

"I'm sorry..." Josh pushed the alter away. Surprisingly, the alter was strong enough to put up a fight. "I don't flirt with strangers..." Josh said as he successfully pushed the alter away and ran towards the other side of the room. "Who are you?"

"My name is Zed. Now, can we kiss?' Zed said with a flirtatious smile as he approached Josh.

Dealing with the confident Zach for the first time was difficult enough for Josh. Zach was already frank and forward about Josh being his, but Zed was on a completely different level. Unlike Zach, Zed is a lot more pushy and obnoxious.

"What... No." Josh reacted as he kept his distance away from Zed. "We are not doing anything, alright. I want Zach, call him out." Josh demanded.

"Yeah... that's not how things work." Zed replied. "Besides, even if we can do that, I wouldn't let any one else take over. Well, not until I steal you away from Zach." He said with a mischievous grin.

"Steal me away from Zach, why?" Josh asked.

"That violent man was created because Zach was angry with the world. Zeke was created in memory of his twin brother. Zander was created to take revenge for Zach. I am created out of his obsession with you." Zed replied.

"What?" Josh was pretty confused at that moment.'

"Obsession might be too much.... Not that I care, though." Zed said. "Hey, now that I am out of his mind, why don't we do something fun and exciting?"

"I have an idea of what is fun and exciting for you, and I don't think I am up for it." Josh said.

"You're no fun..." Zed complained.

Josh knew that Zach was hungry a while ago, and even though an alter came out, his body was still the same. Josh still needs to take care of Zach, no matter which alter is in control as of the moment.

"How about we go out for dinner instead?" Josh asked Zed. "You must be feeling hungry right now."

"Dinner is a lot less fun that what I have in my mind, but since my stomach sounds like a battlefield right now, it would do." Zed replied with a flirty smile.

"Good. I would wait outside." Josh said as he walked towards the door.

"A dinner date is where everything begins, after all." Zed said.

"This is not a date." Josh said and then walked out of the door. Josh left out a heavy sigh as he closed the door behind him. "Why did he have to disappear again so swiftly? How long do I have to wait, this time...?" He sighed again.
