V - When Feelings Start to Change

"Who was that?" Zach asked Naomi as he walked back to her and Alice with their tickets on his hand.

"Just someone who can't make up his mind." Naomi said. "Ryan is buying some popcorn, why don't you and Alice follow him. I'll go the restroom." She lied.

"We just went there." Alice said.

"Well, I need to go again." Naomi chuckled awkwardly and snatched the tickets from Zach "I'll hold onto this." When Alice and Zach went to follow to Ryan, Naomi went straight to the ticketing booth to buy a ticket for Josh.

She had no idea why Josh suddenly changed his mind, but nonetheless, Naomi saw it as a chance for Zach and Josh to reconnect. Maybe Josh was starting to open up his heart for Zach all over again, Naomi hope so.

Naomi left the ticket she bought to the counter and asked to hold it for Josh and the lady behind the counter gladly agreed. When she caught up to Zach and the others, she acted like naturally, like she wasn't scheming anything at all.

"There's about half an hour left before the movie starts. Plenty of time." Naomi said with a smile.

"Do you want to go drinking later?" Ryan asked the group.

"Sounds nice..." Naomi said with a devious smile as she thought of a ploy to get Zach and Josh even closer.

"It's alright, I don't drink, though." Zach replied.

"Really? I saw you drinking at the welcome party though..." Alice said.

Naomi laughed. "His beer doesn't have any foam, doesn't it?" She asked.

"Yes, I thought he doesn't like the foam." Alice replied.

"I don't dislike the foam. It was not beer in the first place." Zach replied with a small smile. "It's apple juice." He said.

"So that's why you didn't seem to get drunk at all." Ryan said. "That's cheating..." He complained.

"Well, it's a trick someone taught me, so I won't be out of place in social occasions." Zach said proudly.

"What a clever guy. Who was it?" Alice asked.

"Someone special." Zach replied with a smile.

When they finally got inside the theater, Naomi made sure that Zach was sitting at the far end next to her and next to the empty seat she bought for Josh. Zach was so focused at the trailers showing at the screen that he had failed to notice the suspicious look on Naomi's face.

Just minutes before the movie finally starts, Zach's focus on the screen was broken when a man cleared his throat. Zach looked up and his eyes widened when he saw Josh standing there. His heart skipped a beat and he felt excitement flows throughout his body.

"Hey, move your legs, I can't go to my seat." Josh complained.

Zach moved his legs and followed Josh with his eyes. "What are you doing here?" Zach asked, still looking at Josh in disbelief.

"Watching a movie." Josh said as he sat down comfortably. "What else would I be doing in here?"

Zach couldn't process what was happening at all. Why was Josh there? He couldn't find the right things to say at all. He just sat there, staring blankly at Josh.

"Where are you looking at? The screen is over there." Josh said as he pointed at the screen. Zach nodded, but he kept on staring at Josh. Finally, Josh turned his head to look at Zach as well. When their eyes met, Zach's heart almost leaped out of his chest. "The movie is going to start." Josh said.
