As soon as the meeting was over, Josh hurriedly went back to Castle Mall. Things were getting out of hand. His mother was getting more furious by the second. Josh didn't want things to get to the point that he would have to choose between his family and Zach.
Both were very precious to him.
It may seem impossible as of that moment, but Josh sincerely hopes that both his family and Zach would at least be civil with each other.
Zander was nowhere to be found, and Josh couldn't help but get worried. "What is he up to now?" He muttered. He asked some of the staff, but no one seemed to know where Zander went.
Josh called Zander's phone many times, but it seemed to be turned off at that moment. It made him frantic. The fact that he had no idea where Zach is, what he was doing, or even what he was getting himself into, scared the freak out of Josh.
Wasting no time at all, Josh walked out of their store and looked around the mall. It doesn't matter to him if he had to search every corner of the mall; all he cared about is finding Zach as soon as possible.
"Zander, you brat..." Josh muttered impatiently. "Where the hell are you?"
The mall was busy at that time, since the holidays was a week away. There were a lot of people shopping and it made it even harder for Josh to look for Zander. Josh was getting tired, but he wasn't giving up. He would never give up when Zach is involved.
His heart was pounding and racing, one, because he had been running around the mall for quite some time, and second, because he was getting more worried by the second. He could feel the inside of his stomach knot because of anxiousness and he was clenching his fist to stop it from trembling.
"Where are you, Zach...? Where did you go...?" That moment made Josh remember that horrible experience that he had when Zander first appeared and Zach suddenly disappeared overnight.
When Zander run away from their apartment in England, taking Josh's passport with him to delay his search for him, Josh felt lost. He felt like a whole was punched right into his soul. It was as if his whole world was overcome with shadows and there was no hope of finding any light.
He became incomplete, desperate, frustrated, depressed.
Josh was heartbroken.
Those feelings were coming back to him, but that would not deter Josh from looking for Zach. He knew Zach felt worst when the accident happened a year ago and he forgot everything about him.
Josh was standing at one side of the mall while he watches the crowd moves in the middle. Time moved slowly for Josh. Everything around him became hazy. It was hard to think straight when the fear of losing Zach all over again clouded his mind.
Then the universe heard Josh's plea.
The crowd parted and Josh saw a familiar face with a confident smile on the other side of the mall. That brushed up jet black hair, that casual ensemble of blue jeans, white shirt, silver dog tag, and loafers, made Josh's heart jumped in utter joy. He was simply so happy that he could feel tears welling up behind his eyes.
Slowly, Josh made his way to the other side of the mall. He had waited for that moment for too long and there was nothing and no one that could stand in his way.
When Josh reached the other side of the crowded mall, a wide smile broke out from his lips. He didn't need to think twice, he didn't care who might see them. At that moment, both his heart and mind were in harmony, they were both saying that Josh shouldn't let that moment pass.
