It's awfully raining outside so our school suspended classes for today. Awww.. It's so boring. I hope Lily could come over to chit-chat with me. But I guess she wouldn't, she seems a bit mad at me yesterday.
"Kyla, your friend is here!" Mom yelled.
"Coming!" I answered.
As I went downstairs, I was thinking that maybe it was Karl again. He really doesn't know how to give up. But to my surprise…
"Lily!?" I said.
"Hi Kylz, can we talk?" She said with a serious expression on her face. I actually got nervous about it. So we went upstairs, into my room.
"So what's it about?" I asked.
"It's about Karl." She said, "Do you like him?"
"Hell, NO!" I said.
Lily couldn't look at me in the eye. She was like embarrassed about something.
"Is something wrong, Lily?" I asked.
"Its just that…" She said, "I...kind of…like him."
"Who? Karl?" I asked. I couldn't believe what she just said.
She just nodded and looked at the ground. I was surprised. Yet, as a friend, I want to keep her company.
"That's why I kept away from you all of a sudden, because I thought you were already in a relationship with him." She said.
"I'm not. He's just being bossy, you know." I said, "such a brat. Pfft..."
"What did you like in him, anyway?" I asked.
"Well, he's so perfect in every way. He's cute, intelligent, rich, and such a prince-material guy. He has everything a girl wants in a guy." She said with twinkling eyes.
"Yeah, and he also has everything a girl hates." I whispered.
Now I'm a bit relieved that Lily's fine with me again. I thought I did something awful. It's really nice having a friend that you could talk to.
"Oh, by the way, how're you and Jack going?" She suddenly asked.
"What? Uhm...we're fine." I said.
"Then why are you blushing?! C'mon, Kylz, I already told my side. Now you tell yours...Tell me!" Lily said while pinching my arm.
"Okay, okay, I'll tell you…" I said.
I told Lily everything. About my feelings about Jack and his feelings towards me. About the love we are sharing right now. I also told her how I knew about my past and about my presumptions that maybe Karl could me my half-brother.
