"Miss Kyla, would you accompany me in the library today?" Karl asked.
My mind said, "I'm busy, stop bugging me, okay? I need to go to the mansion today. There are things I need to clear up".
But my mouth said, "Of course. Lily and I will accompany you after class." I smiled.
GOSH! It's hard to refuse to him. He seemed powerful. He comes to school everyday in a limousine and he was given the privilege to have his own design of school uniform. He has his own table at the cafeteria and his own desk at class. Well, I was the only one who could sit beside him because I was assigned by our teacher. He doesn't talk too much so I can't seem to be friends with him. Now, he's been called Prince Karl by other students.
"Karl, how long will you be here at the library?", I asked.
"Well, as soon as I finish reading these books." He answered.
Is he kidding me? He borrowed five books that were as thick as bricks. Lily was busy doing our homework at the library so she wasn't as pissed off as me. I really need to talk with Jack.
"Kyla, are you bored?" Karl asked. "You seem to be feeling uneasy."
"Well, I just have something to do so I really have to go." I answered.
"Can I come?" He asked again.
My mind said, "NO! Stay here, you leech!"
But my mouth said, "Okay."
Karl gave us a lift on his limo to the old mansion and on our way, Lily asked, "Is it okay if he'd come with us there?"
"I can't refuse, Lily. Let's just get over this." I whispered.
As we arrived at the gate of the mansion, it opened by itself (creepy). I couldn't see a shadow of fear in Karl's face. I wondered, "maybe he's been here before."
"Are you sure that you're coming with us, Karl?" I asked.
He just nodded and got off the limo as well. I admit that I was really annoyed that he came but I had no choice. I can already see Jack following us as we were walking to his room. I had an idea to make Karl go away. I'll scare him.
"Jack, I have a lot of questions to ask you." I talked to him even Karl was there.
"Oh, so you're Jack." Karl said. "You've been following us since we came. Are you the butler of this mansion?"
I was so surprised.
So was Lily.
It means…
He can see ghosts, too?!?
