Note from the author:

I would like to express my gratitude to all of the readers that reached this chapter. Thank you for patiently reading the story of Kyla, the Ghost Hunter. I know the shifting of theme doesn't fit the title anymore but I'm doing my best.  The truth is, I haven't been expecting to go higher than twenty chapters, but here I am now.

This chapter's gonna be a bit shorter. I just can’t think of a brilliant way to get to Karl's story so… here it is.

 Hope you still hold on there and wait for the next things to happen to Kyla, Jack, and the others. Thanks guys.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lately, I've been receiving a lot from Karl. Chocolates, flowers, love letters, stuffed toys… I am so annoyed. Sometimes, I give them all to Lily when he doesn't see me. Poor Lily, she can't confess to that arrogant pug. Lily doesn't come along with me anymore to the mansion. She said that Jack and I need private time together. What the heck, why is she thinking like that, all of the sudden?
"Kyla" It was Karl again, "would you like to go on a date?"
"NO." I said.
"Okay then, hop in." He said and opened the door of his limo.
"This guy! What is he thinking?" I said to myself as I went inside.
Karl was silent inside the limo. Normally, he would always brag about his family and their riches and how "great" he is. But now, I guess he hasn't got anything to say.
"Do you eat Japanese food?" He suddenly asked.
"Yes." I said.
We stopped by a Japanese restaurant that seemed to be their family's franchise. (I knew it because he was treated very well when we went in). I just had a bowl of noodles and a bit of sushi while he had this feast on our table. I really couldn't understand why he has to show off a lot.
"The Krauss family… You guys are really rich, ei?" I said.
"They are… I'm not. I'm just a bastard in Sir Richard's sight." He answered. I was surprised. Why would he say that?
"Isn't he your father?" I asked.
"My step-father...yes." He answered.
"Really? I thought you were really his son." I said.
"Eat up then, I'll tell you everything while we're here." He said and smiled.
So it means, we aren't siblings at all. I really want to know what’s about my father. I want to know more...about my past.
