Franks pov
"What's going on?" I heard a voice ask. I slowed my running. Omg what if it's a police officer! I looked beside me to see a guy in dark clothes approach me and the lady who had been chasing me.
I recognised the guy as the one who chatted to me the other night.I thought quickly, and before the lady could answer him, I spoke up. "This lady is trying to take my dog." I exclaimed as I took a step towards the guy and glared at the woman.
"That's not true this boy here is lying, he is.." She started saying but was cut off. "How dare you accuse a him of lying." He said sternly back staring down the woman with his glare.
Holy crap is he standing up for me?...he is standing up for me...I looked up at the black haired boy. Woah...
Dammit now I feel kinda guilty.."But he is! He is a rotten scoundrel!" The lady seethed. "Nope I have heard quite enough! go about your way madam and I'll tend to him. You are going to walk that way, we are going to walk this way, and you are going to leave him and his dog alone. Got it?" He said firmly and quite intimidatingly.
I just stood there and clutched the puppie. Honestly feeling kind of guilty as I watched the lady. She looked like she didn't know what to do, but she eventually decided to give up and not argue back. And with one final death glare at me, she turned and started walking away.
I snapped out of my gaze when I felt his hand on my shoulder as he turned me around, and led me off in a different direction. He walked at a faster pace than me, I didn't really have much of a choice but to just to follow behind him like a little lost sheep. Well I've gotten myself into a rather awkward situation...
"What's your name?" He asked me without looking at me. "Frank." I said quietly, feeling awkward and uneasy in the situation I was in. "What's yours?" I asked trying to converse. He looked back at me briefly. "Gerard." He said simply.
Things were silent as we kept walking. I didn't have a clue as to what was going on right now in my life. I stole a dog, a guy intervened before I could get into trouble, and now I'm following him to god knows where with a dog in my arms.
"I um, well, thanks for the help, I guess I should be going now...?" I said awkwardly, as my sentence came out as more of a question than a statement. He suddenly stopped walking and turned to face me.
"Do you have more important things to do." He said plainly, his sentence didn't really come off as a question. It had rather more of a 'it's not like you have anything better to do' kind of feel.
"Um no. No not really." I mumbled.
And with that he turned back around and started walking again. And I followed...
I started to feel kind of uneasy again. I don't like this guys ability to manipulate things...I don't know wether I should be okay with this or not. But either way...I still followed him.
I guess I was just kind of curious as to where he was going, and why he wanted me to come with him...Or why he even wanted me around him at all...
Gerard's pov
I kept walking. I smiled when I heard his footsteps following behind me. Well it looks like I have some very pleasant company. Frank...frank is a perfect name for him. It sounds like a short and powerful word, but yet little and adorable at the same time.
We seem to cross paths very often, me and frank. Definitely not something I would complain about. This boy intrigues me, for what reason, I'm not sure. He is like my new found interest, another little distraction in my life from negative things. I am fascinated by humans, but at the same time, utterly disgusted.
Stopped outside a small store. I turned to frank who was currently cooing at the puppy he was holding. He stopped when he realised I was looking at him. "What drink do you want?" I asked. "I'm fine, you, You don't have to, get me a drink." He said shyly. "Are you thirsty?" I asked. "Well yeah a bit, but like.." He started blabbering on but I cut him off. "Then I will get you a drink, wait here I'll be back in a second. You like coke?" I said. "Um okay yeah."
And after hearing his reply I turned and walked into the store.I bought a packet of cigarettes and two cokes. As I was waiting for the lady at the counter to grab the cigarettes that I wanted behind the desk, I looked down to see a stack of news papers. On the front cover happened to be the story of the tragic death of the boy who 'fell' of the roof of an apartment building. "Sad isn't it?" I jumped a bit at her voice. "Oh yeah, it's just dreadful, I still have the hoodie that he borrowed from me." I said faking a sad smile. "Oh, so you knew him personally?" She said sounding sympathetic. "Yeah, I didn't get to know him for very long, it feels like just the other day I met him face to face. He was quite happy too." I said as I presses my lips together and looked down at the news paper. Totally acting the part of a sad friend. The lady just gave me an understanding nod and a sad smile. "Here, have this pack of cigarettes for free, you probably need them." She said. I smiled back at her and nodded. "Thankyou." And with that I walked out of the store to see frank happily playing with his dog. I pauses for a moment as I watched them both. He looked so happy, as was I with my free packet of legal drugs.
I walked up to him and handed him the icy cold can of coke. "Thankyou." He smiled as he took it. We stood there for a few minutes taking sips of our drinks. "It's a cute dog." I said motioning my hand holding the can towards the dog slightly. He just smiled and looked at the puppy and said yeah.
"He seems a bit worn out though, I think he needs to take a nap." Frank said. "Great, he can take a nap at my place." I said as I took off walking again. "Wait wha-oh okay uh." Frank said as he hesitantly followed.
He jogged up to me so he was walking by my side. "Um, don't you think it's weird us hanging out, when like, we barely know anything about eachother?" He asked. "No. How are people supposed to get to know each other if they don't spend time together?" I question logically. "You have a point. So what are you saying, that you want to get to know me?" Frank smiled as he looked up at me.
I just looked at his little cheeky face and ignored his question as I kept walking. "I think the real question is frank, do you want to get to know me. I mean you are the one following me to my house aren't you?" I smirked back.He just smiled with one side of his mouth as he gave a one shoulder shrug. "Mm you seem decent enough for me to fill my time with." He said cockily. "Decent enough aye?" I said with a chuckle. "Well I'm glad I'm just able to meet up to your standards Mr.frank." I joked with a laugh. "That's Mr. Iero to you." He snapped jokingly.
Frank iero...well thank you for telling me your full name.
"Oh yes sorry mr.iero. Shall I hold the door open for you mr.iero?" I continued on with his little joke. "Yes be a gentleman." He said trying to sound serious but he giggled.
I opened the front door to my home and held the door for him to walk in. He smirked at me as he walked past, I poked my tongue at him. Annndddd...he's just walked into the home of a murderer....
