Gerard's pov
When I got to the house of the dead old man, I looked around the street to make sure no one was watching, I didn't want anyone to see me and get suspicious; I then pulled out his house keys from my pocket and unlocked the door. Slipping inside, I closed the door behind me quickly and locked it. The house was silent.
"Honey I'm home." I called sweetly with sarcasm, but quietly through the house. I then walked my way down the hallway towards the bedroom. I opened the door, and as I did, the slight stench hit me. "Well, it's not like you smelt much better when you were alive was it?" I said as I walked over to the bed.
I sat on the bed for a moment to think. The whole thing would have been much easier if I had killed him differently. See if I had just choked him to death or something, then I could just place his body somewhere in his house and people could have thought that he just died from a heart attack or something. But no, instead I poisoned the water in his kettle, and when he drank it just made him pass out, which then gave me the opportunity to easily suffocate him while he was passed out. See if people find him now, if they happen to run tests, they will find the dangerous chemicals in his body and they'll know this was no accident.
So now.. I've got to bury him...and I've got to do it now before someone finds him. I was luck enough to already have had no one come in and find him.
I got off the bed and knelt down as I grabbed ahold of his shirt and attempted to drag him out from under the bed. I managed to slide him out. I looked down at him. He didn't look too bad for a dead guy, In fact, he looked more like a dead guy when he was alive. He looked much more peaceful now, sort of. Maybe if his mouth wasn't open like that. I pushed his mouth closed. There we go..much better.
I grabbed the rope that was left in the corner of the room and went about tying it around his middle. His body was all cold now. I secured the rope. "Alrighty, you ready for another ride again father ross?" I asked as I stood up holding the end of the rope.
No reply. "Good, now watch your head this time because I'd like to bury you all in one piece." I laughed a little as I went and opened the door. I grabbed the rope firmly and started dragging him alone like one of those disobedient dogs that refused to walk when you had them in a leash. Only this old man was much heavier.
If only his body wasn't so long then it would be easier to get him out the door and into the hallway. I thought to myself as I tried to manoeuvre his body out the door. I managed, and then continued to drag him down the hall across the carpet. My nose tickled and soon I let out a loud sneeze, as I sneezed I was still holding the rope which made his body jolt slightly with my sneeze.
"Sorry about that." I said as I sniffed and continued to drag him along. We eventually made it to the living room. I could see the back door leading out into the garden. Hmm the garden...
I dropped the rope and walked over towards the back door. I looked out into the garden to see a dug up spot near the flower bed where it looked like he was going to plant something.
That looks like a good spot. I thought to myself as I turned around to the body on the floor. "What do you think Ross? Near your flowers? Sounds pretty nice doesn't it." I said as I tuned back around and opened the back door. I stepped out and took a look at what I had to work with here.Examining the dirt I decided it looked easy enough to dig up. I saw a garden shed in the corner of the yard that must hold gardening tools and hopefully a large shovel.
What was I going to do with the body while I dug the hole? I could just leave him lying in the middle of the house. Then I had a funny idea.
I walked back inside and and picked up the rope again. I started dragging him towards the back door. As I slid his body out the door his head hit the pavement as it went over the step. Oops. I dragged the rest of his body out quickly. I belt down and untied the rope around him as fast as I could just incase someone happened to look into the backyard and see.
