Gerard's pov

He did startle me a bit when he woke me. After all who wouldn't have been shocked after having somone land on you whilst you were sleeping.

When I awoke I shot into alertness, immediately assessing the situation. I was able to automatically recognise it was frank through the darkness due to his sillouette and the slight noises he made as he fumbled around to get himself into a more stable position.

The way he came in suggests that he was scared. If he wasn't he would've made his entrance quiet and thoughtful. Instead he came in in a messy rush. Also, he was quick to go to start screaming, which any normal person in there right mind wouldn't have had such a dramatic reaction. And thirdly when my hand was on his mouth I could feel how heavily and quickly he was breathing, showing me that he was in a state of panic and had been for a while. And he was very warm for someone who had been in the cold night air, suggesting he had been running.

So from what I could deduce in the few moments that we locked eyes, is that he was scared or panicked and he was running, and all this lead him straight to my room.

That's kind of sweet if you think about it. He gets scared and the person he comes to is me.

I'll admit I was curious to know what had brought all this on, and at this odd time of night, but he calmed down immediately upon realising it was me; so technically it couldn't have been too serious.

I wasn't one to intrude upon people anyway. He had his own reason obviously for coming to me and it's none of my business to know why. He has made it up in his own mind that his actions needed to be done so it's not up to me to question why he's come here and what had caused him to jump on me in the middle of the night.

Although there was one thing that I was indeed very curious about.
Why me? Why did he choose my room to burst into, why is it me that caused him calm down.
He smiled upon recognising me. I could feel the smile against my hand.

He was scared and running and he saw it fit to come to me.

I had a theory. But I needed to test it first before I let my mind contemplate on it for to long.

That's when I leaned in really close to him.

My lips quite close to his but not close enough to touch.

And I could feel it.

His breathing.

His breathing complicated as I neared him.

His breathing hitched in his throat as I stopped just a few inches away from him.

His eyes fixed on me as he watch my every slow move.

None if this was fear.
Far from fear in fact.

He was watching me longingly.
He was waiting. Waiting for me to get closer. I could see it, everything about him at that moment was indicating to me that he wanted what he in his own mind thought that I was going to give him.

I could tell because his eyes said it all. They fell down and were locked straight on my lips. And frank, he wasn't moving, he stayed still and watched my mouth as it drew closer. His breath getting caught in his throat.

And this was all I needed.

A persons physical body can't lie.

I never gave any indication on what I was doing as I approached him. But his thoughts obviously jumped to one thing and he wasn't scared about it, but he wanted it. As I drew closer he automatically looked at my lips. He thought about kissing of his own accord, therefore indicating that...
