Jake was there as long as I can remember. When my dad disappeared, my mom and I moved to La Push for a fresh start. We were instant best friends. He was there every time I went running to him because my mom came home drunk. Held me when I cried because my mom's boyfriend tried to touch me. I slowly found myself falling for him.
