Warning Short Chapter

Jacob:

All my bones are finally reset.
Took long enough.
Worst few hours of my life.

I keep wondering where Jay is.
I thought Jared was going to tell her that I was hurt but I would be fine in a couple of hours. I also haven't seen any of the pack for awhile which is really strange. Not even my dad has checked on me.

"Hey Jared!" I yell

A few moments later, he walks in slowly looking scared. I shrug it off, "Hey where's Jay? I thought she would've been here by now."

"Um well Jake. That's the problem." he shifts uncomfortably

"What's the problems?" I ask, growing impatient

"I told Jay that you were hurt a few hours ago and she said that she was on her way here." he says slowly

"and?" I snap

"She never got here." he says quietly

"What?" I whisper

"The pack is out looking for her right now." He sighs

"I have to go." I say getting up

"Jake no you need to rest!" Jared rushes and pushes me back on the bed, "The whole pack is looking for her and the Cullens! We'll find her."

"Jared." I look up sadly, "What would you do if Kim went missing? You would go find her. Not let the pack and some leeches find her."

He nods, understanding how hard this is.

I get off and run out of the house, phasing in mid air.

Sam howls right as I phase and I go to where he's calling us to.

He calls us to the road a little ways away from my house. Jay's car is there, driver's door open.

"This is weird." Embry thinks

"Yeah. Jay would never leave her in the middle of the road." Quil agrees

"Do you guys all smell that?" Seth asks

We all lift our noses to the air and there's a faint smell of blood and leech. I walk up to the car and find blood on the top of the steering wheel.

I take off, blocking out the rest of the packs' thoughts, running no where in particular, trying to find anything that leads me to my imprint. I've been through a lot of pain, Bella choosing Edward over me, phasing, my mom dying, but I've never felt this kind of pain before. I failed my job. I didn't keep the only person who really matters to me safe.

After running for hours, I finally give up and head home. When I get home, I walk straight past the pack and into my room. I can't hold it in anymore. I just cry. Jay is gone. She could be dead.

There's a knock on my door.
It's Embry.

He sees my state of hysteria and just nods, "We'll find her Jake.There wasn't a body in the car. That means she's alive and we'll find her."

I just nod, not looking at him. After a while, he leaves and I think I fall asleep after a few hours.

The next morning, there's a pack meeting at Sam's house. I show up about an hour late, not really having the motivation to face them all. I just want to get back in the forest and look for my imprint. When I walk in, it's not just the pack, it's the vampires and Bella.

Bella runs up and hugs me, "Jake I'm so sorry I can't believe-"

I don't even look at her, I just push her off of me,  "Not now Bella."

I hear Leah snicker but ignore it.

"Jacob, you helped us and now we're going to help you." Edward says calmly

"We're all going to take shifts looking for her until she's found." Sam says solemnly, "But that also means you'll need rest. You can't search nonstop. You'll just make it harder to find her."

I nod, wanting to get out there and find her, "I'll take the first shift."

"I'll go with you." Embry says

I nod and we both take off and phase. We search the whole La Push area. We decide not to go far but search the area well. After a few hours we're exhausted. The pixie leech and her boyfriend take our spot. I nod as a thanks to them. They seem to understand and smile sadly back, "We'll find her."
Is all the vamp says and they take off running into the wilderness.
