"Take care, darlings!" Mrs Rivers called as she waved goodbye to Ariana and Phillip, who were leaving. Anna clung to her father's legs, sobbing into his jeans. Ariana looked back and waved, smiling brightly. "Call me if you need anything! And call me when you'll reach your.. um.. destination!" Mrs Rivers said. "They'll be fine, Joan! Phillip will take care of her." Mr Rivers assured his wife as he picked up a bawling Anna. "Yeah.." She sighed and rested her head against his chest. "Bye, Anna! I'll see you soon!" Phillip called to her as they dissapeared around the bend. Anna still didn't stop crying. "Come now, Anna! Phillip said he'll come back soon." Mr Rivers consoled her, wiping the tears away. They went into the house, Joan missing Ariana and Phillip already.

"Now that I come to think of it Phillip, where exactly are we going?" Ariana asked Phillip, who looked uncomfortable immediately. "Um.. I kinda looked up this cottage in the woods. It's pretty and it's near the sea, so I guess you'll like it. And it's away from crowds and noises, so we have privacy." Ariana raised an eyebrow cockily. "Why would we need privacy, Phillip?" Phillip smirked and put his arm around Ariana. "A man has his needs, babe." He said, shrugging. "Who's the 'man' here? You're a boy, Phillip." Ariana teased. Phillip glanced at her, narrowing his eyes. Ariana laughed on seeing his face. Phillip laughed with her, but deep down he knew what she said was right. He was just a boy. He would never understand what it feels like to love a woman. And maybe that's why he was doing what he was doing. Phillip's high spirits crashed down to the ground immediately. Whenever he thought of what was about to come next, he would feel like punching something in frustration. He suddenly felt Ariana's gaze on him and snapped out of his thoughts. He looked at Ariana who stared at him curiously, shook her head and continued walking as if nothing had happened. The topic wasn't brought up again but it was hard to ignore the tension that sparked the air. Ariana knew something was up. She couldn't put a finger on it, but she knew it was there.

The next morning Katherine walked into the cafeteria, looking extremely pleased. "What's up, Kath?" Elsa asked her, alarmed on seeing the maniacal grin on her face. "It. Was. Fabulous." Katherine explained, sitting down beside her friend. Elsa smiled knowingly and spread syrup on her pancakes. "It has to be good. Zack knows his way with women." "But Elsa, it was.. um.. how do I explain it.. earth shattering. Did you not feel the vibrations till your room?!" Katherine asked in surprise. Elsa looked up at her, raising an eyebrow. "That's disgusting." She stated, looking at her chocolate chip pancakes. Somehow she seemed to have lost her appetite. "Yes.. it was.. disgusting.." Katherine said dreamily, resting her head on the table. "Zack is soo good in bed.." She continued, fantasising about last night. "Speaking of Zack, where is he?" Elsa looked around, expecting him to pop up from somewhere. "He hasn't woken up yet. He's really tired." Katherine explained, smiling mischievously. Elsa groaned. "Kath! You're supposed to be with him! You can't just leave him! He'll wake up and find you gone and trust me that won't be a very pleasant discovery! He might even stop going out with you!" Katherine shot out of her chair, white. "Wha... what? He might... Oh god.." She muttered softly and dashed out of the cafeteria, shoving people out of the way.
Maybe I went a little overboard.. Elsa thought evilly to herself and chugged down a glass of chocolate milk. "What're you grinning about, Elsie?" "Don't. Call. Me. That." Elsa said to Tyler who had sat down on the empty seat beside her. "So what should I call you? Sugar plum? Honeybun? Babe? Anything's fine with me, babe." He replied cockily. Elsa stared at him with her cold grey eyes, expecting him to start whimpering, but he stared back at her nonchalantly with his green eyes, chewing a strip of bacon. They both stared at each other for around ten seconds. She finally gave up, closing her eyes as if she were having a headache. Tyler grinned triumphantly, simultaneously winking at a busty blonde walking by. Guys.
"Why are you here, Tyler?" Elsa asked in exasperation, rubbing her temples. Maybe she was having a headache.
"To give you company." He replied simply, sipping a carton of chocolate smoothie. "I don't need your company!" Elsa almost screamed at him. Tyler looked at her in alarm. "Why do you get so pissed?" He asked her, and Elsa sighed. All her energy had been wasted on this idiot. "I'm not pissed, Tyler. It's just that.." "Hey Elsa!" Another voice interrupted their conversation. Elsa turned around and gasped in surprise. "Vijay!" She yelled as she flung her arms around the Indian's neck, holding him tight. "How're you?" Vijay asked softly, stroking her red hair. Elsa pulled away and smiled at him cheerfully. "I'm good now." She replied as she hugged him again. "Is he.. ahem.. you know him?" Tyler asked Elsa, looking a little uncomfortable. "Know him?! He's like my elder brother!" Elsa explained, making Tyler sigh in relief. It was true. Vijay was a Terranium senior, who had been like a mentor to the three girls when they had first stepped into Lexington. He had been there for them all the time, guiding them. He had passed out last year, and now was working at Terranium Denubtus, a place where they designed new Terranium battle techniques. "Where are Ari and Kath?" He asked Elsa, and her face fell immediately. "Kath's right here at Lexington.. and.. um.. I don't know where Ariana is." Vijay looked at her in surprise. "I thought you three were inseparable." "Yeah.. I thought so too." Elsa muttered, watching a girl drag Tyler away from the corner of her eye. "Come, sit." She invited, waving towards the empty chairs. "Thanks. So, what happened?" Elsa told him everything from beginning and for a while it was just like old times, when they would sit and discuss their problems with Vijay. Except for the fact that her two best friends were not there beside her. One was pleasing her boyfriend and there was no news of the other."This is.. bad." Was all Vijay said after Elsa finished telling him everything. "I know.. what do we do for Ari, Vijay?" "I don't know, Elsa. I've never been in such a situation. But I have some good news." "Oh yeah, how come you're here?" "Actually.. um.. I'm getting married in two week's time." Vijay half whispered to her, making Elsa gasp. "Really?! Vijay, that's fantastic! You never told us, you piece of shit!" Elsa yelled, slugging him hard on the arm. "Who's the lucky girl?!" "Her name's Rhea, and she's fabulous." Vijay said dreamily, making Elsa laugh. He was a good looking guy. Dark hair that fell messily over his eyes, he had a sunny smile that unearthed his deep dimples. He had laughing brown eyes and a way with women. Everyone adored him. "The name's beautiful, Vijay." Elsa added after thinking for a while. "So.." Vijay continued, digging inside his Nike bag, " I have come here to invite all of you'll to the wedding, which is in two week's time. But you'll are gonna be special guests so you'll have to be there a week earlier. Oh and yeah, it's the typical 'Big Fat Indian Wedding' so it's gonna last a while. I asked Mrs Gestingthorpe to excuse you'll for a month." Vijay said simply, extracting some beautiful looking wedding invitations. Elsa gasped. "A month!?" "You don't wanna spend time with me?" Vijay asked, a hurt expression on his face. "No Vijay, it's not that. I'm wondering how she allowed us to be away for a month." Elsa explained. "She likes me." Vijay explained, cocking his eyebrows cheekily. "Everyone likes you, Vijay." Elsa said sincerely, accepting the invitation. It was gorgeous. A Ganesha was carved in the front from wood, and when she opened it, the paper smelt sweet, like sandalwood. "How do I give this to Ari, though?" Vijay asked her, and Elsa frowned in thought. "Ask her to text you her address, if she's settled down, that is. Forward the address to us as well. She hasn't given us her address. You can send it there by mail, can't you? The invitation's to good to get texted or emailed." "Yeah, I guess I could do that. Where's Kath? Call her for me, will you?" "Sure." Elsa said and picked up her phone.
"VIJAYYY!!" Katherine screamed as she rushed into his arms. "Kath!" Vijay said equally enthusiastically, ruffling her hair up. "Hey. I'm Zack. Kath's boyfriend." Zack introduced himself as Vijay gave him a firm handshake. "Hi, I'm Vijay. Me and Kath are li-" "Yeah I know. Kath talks about you all the time." Zack said good naturedly. Vijay grinned and the girls passing by blushed, Elsa shooting them dirty looks. He was getting married for Pete's sake! "So Kath, I had to tell you tha-" "he's getting married!" Elsa finished for him, making him grin playfully. "Yeah. That." He said to a shocked Katherine. "Vijay, you dog! You didn't even tell us!" Vijay grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck and looking adorable. "Sorry.. it's just that.. Rhea's gorgeous."he said suddenly. Elsa shot Katherine a knowing look. "This is adorable. You can't even stop talking about her. Oh, I forgot to ask you. What's her Ingenium?" "She's an Auranium."
