Blooming love

It was a beautiful spring morning after a long and cold winter. The flowers began to bud, trees began to grow leaves, and the grass started to turn green.

You were on your way to school. Taking full advantage of the warm day you decided to wear a floral print skirt with a white top and black flats (picture above). Your straight hair was down and you had light makeup on.

While you were walking you took the long way around, hoping to find the cute boy you met last summer. He's been coming to your town for as long as you could remember. He'd always show up just before the first flower bloom and would disappear just before the first snow fall. You often wondered if he was just a figure of your imagination.

You walked across the bridge that stood above a creek. It was your favourite place to be in all seasons. The rushing water in the spring calmed your nerves, in the summer you'd pick the beautiful flowers along the side, in the fall you'd often draw the creek with the beautiful maple leaves flowing down it, and in the winter you'd come and skate on the frozen ice.

While you walked across the bridge you saw the cute blonde. You ran your hands down the front of your skirt, smoothing out any creases, and walked up to him.

"Hey Niall."

He turned around and smiled. "Hey y/n! It's been so long." He hugged you. You hugged him back and inhaled smelling his cologne... wait you inhaled again is that ocean breeze? you thought to yourself.

"It has been too long Niall."

He released from the hug and quickly looked you over and blushed. "You look really pretty today.. just like always."

"Thank you." You smiled, blushing.

"Uh hey.." He rubbed his hand against the back of his neck. "After school would you mind meeting me back here?"

"Sure. Why?"

"I can't tell you. It's a surprise. I'll see you later y/n." He said jogging off to school, which was different from yours.

*After school*

You spent the whole day thinking of Niall and what his surprise would be. Maybe he'll admit his undying love for me.. you thought.

"Nah he'd never like a girl like me." You mumbled to yourself. You kept walking towards the bridge having nothing but that surprise on your mind.

When you finally got to the bridge Niall was there sitting on the railing of the bridge.  (A/n just like the picture)

"Hey y/n!" He smiles waving at you.You smiled and waved back.

"Hey Niall. So what's my surprise?" You stopped in front of him.

"Someone's excited." You nodded. "Come a little closer."

You took a step closer and before you knew it his lips were on yours. He placed his hands just above your hips an you put your arms around his neck (just like the picture).  He pulled away and like into you y/e/c eyes.

"Y/n I've been meaning to tell you something. I've had a huge crush on you since the first spring I started coming here. That first winter I told myself I'd come back and tell you how I felt but I never did because I was too scared. So.. um.. what I'm trying to say is... y/n would you go out on a date with me?" Niall asked biting his lip.

"Niall I'd love too."

He smiled big and kissed you again. This year the flowers weren't the only things that were blooming.
