When it was time for lunch, Rose led me to a table full of people.

“Hey everyone. This is Elizabeth Adina,” Rose introduced me.

Everybody mumbled ‘Hi.’

“This is Julia Silverman. She’s a shapeshifter,” she said while pointing to a girl with emerald eyes, glossy black hair, and pale skin. She got up when Rose introduced her, then sat back down.

Wow, a shapeshifter…fancy, I thought.

“Congratulations, you’re the first shapeshifter I have ever met,” I said smiling. She laughed and smiled dangerously. Chills crept up my spine like long fingers.

“This person over here is Ainsley Johnson. She’s a witch with a very devious mind.”

She was pointing to a girl with brown wavy hair, wood violet eyes, and snow white skin.

“She’s really cool when you get to know her,” Rose assured me.

“This small teenager is Adelle Johnson. She’s Ainsley’s sister,” Rose said with a ‘duh’ expression.

Another?

This girl, who was smaller than Rose, came up to me. She was fair skinned with rosy cheeks and she had dark shadows under her sky blue irises. She was blonde, with white little strands of hair that reflected the light. Her lips were plump with cherry red lipstick.

“Hey,” she said and waved.

“Oh, great...another one,” I said sarcastically and placed a hand to my hip.

“Don’t worry. People say I’m nothing like my sister,” She said.

Awesome, I thought. Wait, is that all?

Adelle went back to where she was sitting. I noticed someone put their arm around her small, little body.

“The guy sitting next to her is Josh Wood. They’re going out,” Rose teased.

He had bronze hair and brown muddy eyes. He, like Adelle, had fair skin.

I have a bad feeling about this guy.

“Hey. I’m nothing special or anything. Just a human. Adelle trusts me so much that she told me about their little secret,” he said and smiled at Adelle.

Wow. How could she trust a human?

“Next person is A.J Landon. She isn’t really a ‘monster’ but she’s different like the rest of us. A human with future seeing abilities,” said Rose.

She was indicating to a girl who was tan and red haired. Her eye color seemed to change every time I looked at her.

“Hey. I’m A.J and well, ya know. A human with special powers. You can just call me a psychic.” She smiled.

While she was talking I saw someone slip into the cafeteria, but was hiding.

“Finally, Daw-?” She stopped in mid sentence.

“Where is he?” Ainsley asked.

“He’s hiding over there,” Julia said while pointing to the food counter.

I wonder who they were talking about. She walked over to the food counter and started to talk to him. Even though I was far away from there, I could still hear them perfectly clear.

“…Why don’t you introduce yourself to Elizabeth? It’s rude to hide and ignore people, you know?” Rose asked.

“Sh! She can hear you!” He shushed.
