I woke up the next morning feeling so good for some reason. I put on my favorite long sleeved shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Finished with doing my hair, I rushed down stairs to eat so I could leave to see Dawson.

“Good morning. These arrived at the door for you,” My aunt said.

“What are they and who sent them?” I asked.

“Why don’t you go see for yourself?” She winked.

Since the stairs automatically led to the kitchen, I didn’t see what it was. I walk towards the living room to find it filled with roses. At first I was shocked by how many there were, but then I concentrated enough to find a card on one of the bouquets.

‘Hope you like the little surprise I sent you’

-Dawson D’Arques

He sure does want to make a good first impression. I took one of the roses so I could ask him about them.

“Hey! Can you drive me to school?” I asked my aunt.

“Sure just get your things and we can go.”

I just stared after her, not sure why. When I was done staring, I got my stuff. I went to the car and we headed to my school...and Dawson.

Dawson was waiting next to his black Camaro. I said goodbye and started walking towards him.

“Hey,” I said.

“Hi,” he greeted.

“I got your little surprise. How the hell did you get the money for so many? I questioned firmly.

“Did you love it?”He asked.

“Yeah, but-”

“Then the money doesn’t matter. As long as you loved it,” he explained.

I smiled and blushed. Suddenly, I remembered something.

“Hey, you forgot to ‘introduce’ yourself.” I giggled.

“Oh! I almost forgot. I am Dawson D’Arques. I think that was a decent introduction, but if you want to know more about me then we can do that at Rose’s house. She’s throwing a party and I’m taking you as my date.” He smiled.

Yes, I finally get to see what her house looks like! I still wonder what type of...thing she is.

“We better get going,” he said.

“Wait. Before we go I wanted to ask you something,” I said.

“What do you want to ask of me?”

“What type of creature is Rose?” I asked.

He paused for a while to think about his answer. I waited patiently.

“You’ll see when we get to her house.” He winked.

I hate when people leave everything a mystery. We walked back together. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks.

“Something wrong Dawson?” I asked concerned.

“I could just take you right now. She isn’t here today because of the party. We could help her?” He insisted.

“You want me to skip school?” I asked, surprised.

“Not necessarily,” he said.

He makes everything seem so easy.

“Fine, but if we get caught, I’m blaming you.” I tried to make it very clear.

“Okay, but we’re not gonna get caught. Come on, lets go.”
