We stood there in the middle of the field. It’s been a month since I got kidnapped by my former best friend. The black spot is still there, but it’s getting bigger. Sometimes, I would have so many headaches. Also, I keep fainting or losing my memory. For some reason, I’ve been finding many herbs, crystals, and candles in my room. Sometimes I would find myself waking up doing some weird thing. Almost like a spell. Now I’m afraid to sleep.
I itch myself on my stomach. It hurts now. I lift up my shirt a little and see that it was a purply black. Bruised. What is going on? I shove my shirt down immediately. I lift my jeans up to see if they are the same. It was exactly what I suspected, except it only went half way on my calfs. The purply-black skin was there. Should I tell Dawson? Maybe...
“Okay. So first you need to know how to shield yourself,” Dawson said.
I nod. No, my voice wouldn’t work.
“Dodge if possible. Since you’re a Soul Killer, your skills should have enhanced more. Apparently not more than a...vampire, but still enough to dodge a lot more,” He said.
“Yup,” I managed to say.
“Is something wrong?” He asked, concerned.
This is your time, tell him! Tell him about the purple bruise that is spreading around your body! Now!
“I’m scared,” I said stupidly.
He sighed and said, “There’s nothing to be scared of. Everybody has a weak spot. Violetta has a very big one.”
“Her heart. Dawson, that’s not what I’m talking about-” I was interrupted by Julia and Rose emerging from the trees.
“Hey guys. We thought we could help. Since I could be a target and Rose could help with battle strategy,” Julia said.
Too late. Now I’m never going to be able to tell him.
For some reason, ever since Haley appeared, Rose, Adelle, and Ainsley don’t remember anything. Like it never happened.
“Perfect. You ready Elizabeth?” Dawson asked.
It came from Dawson, but I heard Violetta’s voice from inside my head.
Are you ready? No, you can never be ready for what I have in store for you.
I will win. I’ll kill you, bitch!
What am I doing? I’m talking to myself. Wow.
The voice seemed to be very angry. It forced some unknown power on me that made me fall on the ground. I gasped and then my body was covered in pain.
So...much...pain...
I screamed and tried to clutch the places where the blackness was. They seemed to hurt the most. Violetta! I am going to, not only kill her, but brutally destroy her!
Dawson ran to my side and I saw Julia hover over me. Rose was trying to figure out what was wrong.
She lifted up my shirt and gasped. Oh no. She saw them. She saw the lacy marks that encased my upper body. She screamed and fell backwards. I edged away from them.
Suddenly, there was a strong wind and then I felt something in my hand. I looked down on it. It was a vial of green liquid. I felt a very strong urge to throw it at them. I tried to hold it back, but then the bruises started hurting so much. I chucked it at them and there was a big green smoke that surrounded them. I felt like I needed to do that again. More. I want more. I need more.
I ran off toward somewhere I thought I would never go. To Kelly. I always felt good when I was with her. She always understood me. I just hope I don’t freak her out or anything. I didn’t even get the chance to see her because Julia pounced on me. She was a black, sleek panther. Growling, she turned into her half form, which, was her human face and body, but with ears, whiskers and a tail. Her clothes were replaced by fur-like clothes.
