I don't care what any of you guys say. But I am absolutely in love with Garret Hedlund, if anyone says he is ugly I will personally deliver you a class-A ass whoopin. Oh, by the way, he's Julian. Oops, forgot to mention that. Enjoy!
- Your future Mrs. HedlundAdelaide
My lips curled up into a genuine smile. I smelt him, before I saw him. I would remember that smell anywhere, anytime.
After getting off the cramped bus, I went to a phone booth and called up my long lost best friend, Julian. Julian has been the one consistency in my life, and I have never been happier to see him. I had only left because I got a supposed lead on my parents whereabouts, but that was a sham. So, now I'm back and currently waiting for Julian to appear, leaning against a light pole.
His large frame came into view, and before I knew it, I was tackled into a big hug. His arms went around my waist and twirled me around in a circle, my legs almost hitting some poor old lady. I couldn't stop laughing, it felt so good to be back. I wound my arms around his neck and held on for dear life.
"Marshmallow!" I looked over Julians shoulder to see his younger brother, Boone. Boone was the cutest little kid you will ever see. He looked like an angel, with his head of blonde curls and his big blue eyes, he could make you do anything he wanted. Before I left, he had mastered the puppy eyed look, and I'm desperate to know how much stuff Julian bought him already. Julian spoiled that kid, hell we both did.
Julian pulled back and took my face in his hands, assessing if I was okay. His familiar blue eyes searched mine, but they weren't the right shade of blue. Don't think about him.
I smiled, to reassure him I was okay, but it didn't really work out well, seeing that he still had his hands on my cheeks. My cheeks smushed together, so I probably looked like a chipmunk. Julian laughed, and I felt like I was home.
Boone ran up, and pounced on my leg, holding on for dear life. His small arms were surprisingly strong, and if Julian didn't pry him off me soon after, I would've lost circulation. I laughed, and took the energetic six year old from Julians hands. He immediately wrapped his arms around my neck and squeezed.
"Okay..I..Need to...breath." I managed to squirm out of his hold. He clasped my cheeks and looked up at me with regretful eyes.
"I'm so sorry Mallow, I didn't mean to almost kill you. I pwomise it wont happen again." He said, raising his pinky. I smiled, twisted my pinky with his, and kissed his cheek. I set him down and faced Julian.
The familiar face helped me calm down. He had gotten a little bit scruffier, his facial hair had grown from when I last saw it. His perfect, pearly whites shown from underneath his bright smile. The blue eyes that I had known for years were on me, calming me.
He pulled me in for another hug, and I wrapped my arms around his middle, holding tight. He placed a kiss to my head, and took my bag.
"Glad to have ya back, Adey." He said, a smile on his lips. He led me back to his car, a red jeep. I loved it, even name it Sheila. Julian threw my bag in the back and got in the drivers seat, while I placed an already sleeping Boone on my lap.
"Glad to be back, Jules." I said, resting my head on the headrest.
"What happened?" He asked softly, after a few moments of silence.
"I didn't find them, Eva led me to a dead end. You know I'm going to have to kill her." I said. It's that simple, no one must know that I'm looking for my parents, it was a rule. Julian nodded his head in understanding.
"I know, but thats not what I'm talking about." He said. I glanced at him, a confused look on my face.
"What happened Adey? You can tell me." He said. I sighed.
