I woke up feeling extremely comfortable, and very warm. I felt cooling breath against the shell of my ear, and a light snore that resembled a purr, vibrated against my back. The sparks that traveled through my body combined with the familiar pleasant scent of my mate caused my eyes to flicker shut once again.

But my sleep was short lived, because as soon as my breathing deepened, I was pulled on top of a hard chest. Flynn's grip had gotten incredibly tight, his hands slightly shaking. His breathing was fast and harsh, a light sheen of sweat appeared on his forehead. Stray beads fell down his temples and disappeared into the soft cotton of his shirt.

He was having a nightmare.

I placed my hands on his shoulders, shaking them slightly. I ignored the pain where he unconsciously dug his claws into my sides, and continued to shake him.

"Flynn!" I raised my voice and tried again. His head moved back and forth, left to right. The word 'no' escaped his lips, over and over again.

I started to panic. He wasn't responding to my frenzied calls, or my frantic shakes. I shook him as hard as I could, and yelled right in his ear, but nothing happened.

He started shouting out, his claws breaking my skin. The long sleeved shirt did nothing to protect my skin from his razor sharp nails. I bit my lip, hard enough to draw blood. It was painful, but I could bare it.

I leaned down and placed my mouth on his, hoping the sparks would cause him to wake up. When nothing changed, I pressed down harder, and let my canines extend so they were grazing his lips. To my surprise, his breathing slowed and his head stopped in place.

I retreated, but stayed straddling him, hoping he would wake up soon. His heart beat, which had been going unhealthily fast, had slowed a bit. Mine stayed at a frantic beat that I could still hear pulsing in my ears.

Slowly, his beautiful ocean blue eyes opened. They were glazed over, and had lost some of their shine. I let out a relieved breath, and laid my head on his chest, wrapping my arms around his torso.

I just wanted his eyes open.

"Not that I'm complaining, but what are you doing?" He asked, his voice full of sleep. The husky undertone made me shiver, and I dug my face into his chest even more.

"You were having a nightmare." I said, voice muffled by his shirt.

"What was that Angel?" He asked, amused. I glanced up at him, placing my chin where my face used to be. I ran my fingers through his hair, and he leaned his cheek into my palm.

"You were having a nightmare." I said again. His eyebrows furrowed, and his expression was full of confusion. He didn't say anything for a few moments, so I asked what had been bothering me.

"What was it about?"

He suddenly looked up at me, the confusion still there.

"I cant remember. I don't even recall having a nightmare." He said rubbing his hands down the sides of my torso. They suddenly stopped when they reached where his claws had broke skin.
