I pictured Cara Delevigne as Claire! This little note might be foreshadowing *wiggles eyebrows* enjoy!

Adelaide

He said he wanted to talk. So why isn't he talking? He's sitting in that overly large chair, that looked like it cost more than the past seven wallets I've stolen. As soon as he sat down, all he's done is stare at me with those enchanting blue eyes.

"Well? Aren't you going to talk?" I ask, growing annoyed. His gaze was unnerving me, the intense look becoming too much. But I wouldn't fold, he wasn't going to win this stare down.

He sighed, and ran his fingers through his hair. The midnight black waves stood up, going in different directions. I itched to smooth them down, run my fingers through it, wondering if it was as silky as it looked. I shook my head, now wasn't the time for my weird, wolfy thoughts.

"I'm not going to lie and tell you that what Adam said wasn't true. I am in a relationship with Claire." He said, getting straight to the point. My wolf whined, this was hurting her but it was surprisingly hurting me more than I expected. When he admitted that he was already with someone, it made a deep ache erupt in my chest.

I put my hands on the arm rests and stood up.

"Then I think we're done here." I said, turning to leave. There was no way I was staying here and being known as the second choice. He found his mate, he's had time to fix whatever mess he made with Claire. But he didn't. He was with her whilst his real mate was in a cage under their feet like a dog.

He shot up from his chair, almost knocking the expensive leather seat to the ground. I looked back at him, to find that he was breathing hard, trying to regain his control.

"Sit down Adelaide. Right now. You are not running from this." He said, his voice deeper and more husky, which meant his wolf had dominant control.

"Why shouldn't  I? You have everything you need here! I'm just a complication. You have a good pack, a future luna, everything you need! Why should I stay here?" I ask. I don't see any point in me staying here if he's happier with another woman. Seeing them everyday would destroy me.

"You are not just a complication Adelaide. Don't you ever say that again. You are going to stay here until we figure this thing out wether you like it or not. Now sit back down." He said, his light blue eyes glowing.

I stood for a few moments more, before sighing and taking my seat. His shoulders slumped in obvious relief and sat in his own chair.

"So who are you picking?" I asked, getting straight to the point. "I know she's supposed to become luna next month, so you need to choose. Simple as that." I said. Knowing that she was going to become luna if I hadn't gotten here makes me sick to my stomach. Thats not something I can dwell on.

Flynn clenched his jaw, and stood up, going to the large window on the right side of his office. He peered out into the dark night sky, the starts illuminating the small clouds that were roaming in the air, and sighed, resting his forehead on the window pane.

"It's not as simple as you make it out to be, Adelaide. She isn't something I can wipe from my life with no remorse. I've been with her for so long that it's hard to imagine myself without her." He said. Each word was like a piece of glass embedding itself in my heart. Having a mate isn't supposed to feel like this.

'Make him stop Adelaide.' Lila said, heartbroken. I tried to console her but she cut off the communication.

So instead of showing the hurt, I twisted it. I wouldn't let him see it, so I put on the emotionless mask that I was so used to wearing, and repeated the mantra that I had used when I started practicing my famous poker face.
