Marshall up above! Now I know that I said that he had white hair a couple chapters ago and that's how it's going to stay. So just try to imagine the god up there with white hair. I want him to be super unique so just use your imagination *spongebob voice*

I watched as Adelaide gave her speech to the men that stood before her. She really did make a great leader. She knew what to say and when to say it, how hard to push them and when to let her anger show. The men begrudgingly respected her, after the stunt she pulled on the first day of training.

I still couldn't believe that she took down an adult, male werewolf with her bare hands. I had seen it done before, but from a very powerful male who had been on this earth for centuries, not a 20 year old girl. She truly is amazing.

When she dismissed the men, I got the courage to approach her. Lately I was giving her space, like she had asked. But it was driving me and my wolf crazy not being able to hold her, or speak to her. Scar, had been bragging that Adelaide's wolf still talks to him, but I usually tune him out before it gets to descriptive.

"You're doing very well. They seem to like you." I said, standing next to her. I inhaled her fruity scent greedily, refraining from pulling her to my chest. I don't think she'd like that.

"As much as they can like a rogue I suppose." She said, her bell-like voice music to my ears. She flicked her vibrant green eyes over to mine for a second, before looking away.

"They respect you, rogue or not. You lead them well, I can already see improvements and it's only been a couple days." I said, truly proud of my mate. She gave me a small smile, which made my heart speed up.

"Thank you. I want them to be ready, and strong. I don't want anyone to die, after all I'm the one who is practically leading Marshall straight to the pack houses doorstep. If anyone dies it would be my fault." She said, her eyes sad and vulnerable. I could tell that she didn't want to be here, but now it was for a different reason.

"That isn't true, Adelaide. If its anyones fault, its mine. I was the one who forced you to be here, who forced you to train the men and tell all the secrets you can. Im the one who has put Boone and Julian in danger, and Im the one who hasn't treated you the way I am supposed to. It is not your fault, not even a little bit." I said, believing my words. She was looking up at me in awe, with glassy green eyes.

I wanted nothing else but to hold her, however brief I wouldn't care. She is my mate and I just want to have her in my arms.

"Adelaide, can I please just hold you? Just for a little bit. I cant stand seeing you sad, and its almost physically painful to be away from you. Please, this once." I said, with my head down, embarrassed. She probably thinks I am weak now, seeing as alphas never say please. But I couldn't help it. I didn't know what to do, and I didn't want her sad anymore.

She surprised my by wrapping her arms around my neck and resting her head on my chest. I was shocked still at first, but quickly gathered her in my arms, by putting my hands around her waist, and pulling her towards me. I stuck my head in the crook of her neck and I inhaled her delicious scent. I had been wanting to be this close to her since sleeping next to her at Julians house.

That was the best night of my life.

She tightened her hold on me, and I knew that she was inhaling my scent as well. I was tempted to ask her what it was, but refrained. I didn't want anything to ruin this moment.

I heard her sniffle, and bent my head so I could see her face. She had tears gathering in her eyes, getting caught in the long lashes that span around her emerald eyes. I furrowed my eyebrows, confused, why was she crying?
