Sam up above!
Adelaide
Ezra gulped audibly from behind me, choosing to stay where he was. Sam growled and pushed me out of the way to get to his shivering, red-haired mate. I landed against Flynn with an oomphf , since Sam doesn't know how to be gentle. He threw Ezra over his shoulder and strode inside the pack house, slamming the door behind them. I looked at Flynn in confusion, and he just shrugged.
Well, at least he wasn't focused on killing me at the moment.
I looked over to Jamison who gave me a quick thumbs up, and walked over to the car to collect his bags, which was only a very worn, green backpack.
"How've you been Blondie?" I asked as he joined us by the front door. He hoisted his backpack over his shoulder and smiled.
"I've been good, not dead thanks to you. How bout you? I see you've met your mate. I've missed you Flynn." He said, before flinging himself at my mate.
Flynn was obviously caught off guard because they both toppled to the ground. Blondie had the upper hand in their impromptu wrestling match for about five seconds before Flynn was able to pin him down. I smiled, proud of my strong partner.
Blondie laughed and tapped the ground, rolling away from Flynn when he was let go.
"Man, I really suck." He said, dusting off his shirt.
"Well that fight wasn't exactly fair, you knew I was going to win." Flynn said, laughing. Jamison just shrugged and turned back to me.
"So, are you ready for this battle Adey?" He asked, eyes trained on mine. I stared straight back at him, confused on why he was staring so intently at me.
"We've been training for weeks, I think we're ready." I replied, cautious.
"Yes but that's the thing, I asked whether you were ready, not them." He said, leaning a bit closer. I could see the slight distrust in his eyes and my anger flared. "We've heard you might have a slight soft spot for a certain white-headed enemy Adelaide. I just need to make sure you're on our side."
I stepped even closer, my eyes tinged with red. How dare he? I saved his pathetic life and he repays me with accusation.
"You know nothing." I replied, making sure my eyes shined violet. "Nothing at all." I growled and stepped into the pack house, making sure my shoulder banged into his.
"You have no idea what she's been through because of that monster Jamison, you-" Flynn was obviously explaining what had happened but I didn't need to be around to hear it. I slammed the door on that conversation and headed to the kitchen, where I could see some new faces already.
"You've been here less than five minutes and you're already raiding my fridge?" I asked, playfully. The two men standing in the kitchen jumped, and the fourth slammed the door shut and attempted to distance himself from it. There was one more man sitting at the small table set up, with his head down, staring at his hands. I shook off the weird feeling and smiled at all of them, proud of myself for sneaking up on three of the four grown men.
"What do you want to eat?" I asked, leaning on the island by the sink. They just stared blankly at me, blinking. I sighed impatiently.
"Well?"
"Oh! Um well some lasagna would be nice and maybe some garlic bread." The brunette who had his nose stuffed into the fridge spoke up.
"Landon! That's the luna you moron, you cant tell her what to do!" One of the blondes exclaimed from across the room, throwing his hands in the air. I laughed and shook my head.
