Chapter 4 - Random Thoughts

Maine's P.O.V.

After work, I sat by Kuya Jose and Kuya Paolo. I was in deep and random thinking. Guess what's all about? Me and Alden. I imagined me and him being paired up together, smiling widely, and spending most of the time with him. With that, the staff was eating before wrapping up the place, while me, well. Nabusog na ako kay Alden.

"Maaaiiinneee, bukas ka na magday-dream kasi hapon na. Yiiieee" Kuya Paolo teased. There I just realized that I was smiling wide from ear to ear.

"Ahla! Hindi po ah!" I laughed and verociously went on eating my carbonara. After a few bites, I gave up and drank water.

"Hm, alam ko yung mga ganyan ha. Mga nabubusog kay Alden." Kuya Jose joked as I finished eating.

I just didn't mind them. I mean, I need to sort out my feelings in the right place, not here. But still, I got curious. Sino ba namang hindi magtataka kung bakit nilabas si Alden sa segment namin? Hmmm, something's fishy.

"Ate Pat!!!" I shouted. The whole staff was looking at me, "can I talk to you?" I shyly whispered to her. I asked her if she planned this...

"Hahaha, Ms. Dianne did it." She laughed off and went back to eating.

"I'm home." I said tiredly.

"MENG! OMG. YOU TWO WERE SO CUTE KANINA! OMG. BAGAY TALAGA KAYO NI ALDEN." Nicole shrieked.

"YIIIEEEE. WAG PIGILIN ANG KILIGGGG!" Ate Annica teased.

"Ano ba?! Stop ---"

I was distracted by his smile. And oh! Those dimples! Ihhh, stop staring at me Alden!!! You're so cute!

Without realizing, I was blushing and smiling, and so my sisters teased me more.

Nicole's P.O.V

We are now watching Eat Bulaga. And of course, napakagwapo talaga ni Alden. Wiiieeee! After 1 hour, Juan For All, All for Juan na! We were watching peacefully. We laughed at all the jokes, until then I saw again Alden's face appearing on the other side of the screen whenever Menggay, perhaps Yaya Dub, is dubbing. Ate Annica excused herself for a minute.

Until then....

"ATE ANNICAAAAAAAAA!!!!" I screamed. Ate went to me as fast as she could.

"BAKIT?!" she screamed too.

"LOOK!" I pointed at the television and we both watch it. It was Alden and Maine. They were smiling against each other, and I know Maine's smile is for real. REAL NA REAL! After the show, both of us sat on the bed.

"Ate... do you think...."

"YES. O EM GEE KINIKILIG AKO SA DALAWA!" she cut me off.

Alden's P.O.V.

"Hey bro! Wazzup?" Sam grinned at me. And I think I know what he is talking about.

"Fine..." I told him. "So, do you have her number?" I joked.

"Woah! That's my boy! Haha. Wala eh. Next time nalang." Sam grinned wider.

I was in deep thinking. That girl, yeah, Maine. She's too pretty, and I can't wait to meet her personally. I mean, imagine. We'd be great friends and I think awesome best friends. But hey, hanggang dun na lang ba? Why not, girlfriend? Pero, sa tamang panahon na yun. But I wonder...

Is Maine thinking the same?

Maine's P.O.V.

"Okayyy..." I whispered as I stalk Mark's instagram. There he posted a pic of him and that Veronica girl. Wow, a baby too.

"Have fun, you idiot." I whispered again.

"MENGGAY!" I heard Kuya Nico's voice from downstairs.

"WHAT?!" I shouted back. #SIBLINGGOALS. I hurried and went down. I saw Kuya replaying KalyeSerye on his phone.

"Ang cute niyo ni Alden ah." He said.

"Ohhh... yeppp?" I tried to escape from his drill, until then...

"MENG!" Omg, mom and dad. Whyyy.

"Y-yesss?" I turned my head to them.

"ANG CUTE NIYO NI ALDEN KANINA!" Mom screamed as she place her bag on the couch. Dad? Well, he just laughed.

I went to my room with a bag of potato chips, yes, bag of chips. There, I sat by the window and went on random thinking again.

"So... this is how it feels pala..."

"Ganto pala mararamdaman pag natitigan ka ni Alden." I said.

"God gave me you, to show me what's real...."

That moment, thoughts again appeared. Thus, it is a must to smile! Different thoughts with Alden made my lips twitch. I was day-gazing, probably cloud-gazing, at my window, and the music flowing through my earphones, as well as my random thoughts, those are girl thingy. Hihi.

But I wonder...

Is Alden thinking the same?
