Chapter 2

‘’SOPHIA! OH MY GOD SOPHIA!”’ I heard a very familiar voice call me as I arrived to my locker.

My other best friend Olivia ran down the hallway waving and squealing.

‘’HI!’’ I yelled excitedly,

she ran straight into my open arms and we crushed each other in a tight hug.

‘’OH MY GOD I’VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!’’ she squealed as she jumped up and down while still holding on to my arms.

‘’me too!”’ I said with a beam.

‘’so how have you been during the summer?’’ she asked as she took some books from her locker which was right next to mine.

‘’nothing much, we came back from Africa 3 weeks ago, so the remainder of the time I just finished off my homework and chilled with Keith,’’ I said with a sigh.

‘’oh yeah how was Africa?’’ she asked.

‘’great, went to the safari, met loads of kids, definitely one of the best trips,’’ I said with a small smile. ‘’what about you Liv? You’re all tanned and glowing,’’ I said as I bumped her hip with mine.

‘’why thank you,’’ she said bowing down. She had been to California, loads of beaches, loads of tanning, and loads of hot guys.

‘’unbelievable, the weather was amazing, so many hot guys dude! We have to go back next year, I was literally drooling at the sight of every single one of them,’’ she said with a giggle.

‘’totally,’’ I agreed with a laugh.

Just then the bell rang, ‘’I’ll catch you up at lunch!’’ she said as she pulled me into another bone crushing hug before running away to her class.

Luckily my class was only a corridor away; I hurried down the less crowded hallway. When I arrived my teacher wasn’t here yet so I chilled at my table talking to my group of friends.

‘’LIA! KIA!’’ I screamed as I saw my two redhead best friends who were twins.

They had matching red long flowy hair and piercing blue eyes. They were identical and I couldn’t really tell who was who, the only difference was that Kia had more freckles. We had a huge group hug and when we finally let go my arms were aching slightly from gripping on to them too tightly.

‘’hey are you missing somebody?’’ a familiar male voice said.

I turned my head and saw Tyler, also one of my best friends. Even though he was six foot two I still managed to pull him into a tight hug.

‘’I missed you all so so much,’’ I squealed as I turned to face all my friends.

Keith was sitting on the table swinging his legs.

‘’anybody else you need to hug? You’ve hugged the entire school I bet,’’ Keith said sarcastically.

‘’what? I missed everyone, of course I’m going to give them a hug’’ I defended.

He was quite true though, I had hugged a lot of people. When the corridors were more crowded with people this morning I had trouble walking 5 steps without seeing a friend and attacking them with a hug.

‘’you’re too nice for your own good, I bet half of those people don’t even know you like we do,’’ Keith continued.

‘’what’s your problem? Do you have to make me pissed on the first day?’’ I asked with a frown.
