Chapter 2

I wake up to realize I'm still in my magic lair, it's been like this just about every morning, my parents don't bother to check on me in the mornings, or at night for that matter, so I can stay here all I like and they'll never even know it exists.
I lift my head from the table and check the time, 10am.
I have about 3 hours until I have to meet Alex in Diagon Alley.
I mentally groan getting up from the stool and make my way up to my room to get ready.

I step out of my room and rush down the stairs, two at a time, and run into the living room.
I check myself in the mirror one more time.
My ice blonde naturally curly hair falls a little past my shoulder and my dark green eyes are lined with black eyeliner(wings), stunning against my porcelain skin.
I walk over to the fireplace with a small bag of floo powder, that my parents don't know about, in my hand. I toss a bit of floo powder down to the fire and jump in.
"Diagon Alley!" I call, and just like that, I'm standing in Diagon Alley with about a hundred other Witches and Wizards.
I walk over to Flourish and Blotts, and decide to wait for her outside.
Shouldn't she already be here, I'm like 10 minutes late..

After about another 20 minutes I almost decide to start shopping without her when I hear her call my name.
"Alice!" Alex calls.
I look up at her and almost smile, when I remember the fact that she's half an hour late.
"Ah, there you are." I say as I walk up to her. "Geez, what took you so long?"
"Sorry, I slept in."she says apologetically.
"No problem." I say, linking arms with her and directing her into the bookstore. "Now let's buy our textbooks!" I say cheerfully.
"Okay."
