I walk up to the common room to drop off some books and go straight to my room.
I swing the door open rather recklessly and see Alex sitting on the floor in front of a cat carrier.
"What's up Alex?" I said looking at her as I dump my books on the floor by my bed and lean against the bed post.
"Just examining my newest challenge." She says pointing at the carrier.
"What is it?" I ask trying to get a look inside.
"A kneazle with an attitude apparently." She says, sounding somewhat annoyed.
"Interesting. Could you let it out?" I ask curiously.
"I think I'm gonna try and get it comfortable with me first." She answers and turned her attention back to the kneazle.
She lifts her index fingers up to the cage for the kneazle sniff and immediately it swipes it's paw at her.
"Hey! Play nice I wasn't gonna hurt you." She scowls at it, raising her voice.
"Could I try?" I ask stifling a laugh at the fact that Alex just got swiped, the CFMC prodigy.
"Alice you aren't any good with magical creatures and not even Hagrid could change her attitude." She says flatly.
"Aw alright, do you wanna get some lunch before you try and tackle this issue?" I ask, walking over and leaning on the door frame.
"Sure. Just let me leave a note."
The note read:
Beware of kneazle.
Has a temper do not touch.
Thx Alex.
Placing the note on the cage Alex joins me and we walk down to the great hall.

After lunch I went back to the common room while Alex decided to go to the library to look at some books on kneazles. I walk into the common room and notice a familiar red head sitting all alone in the corner scribbling furiously on some parchment.
"Hey Fred." I say as lean over the back of the couch and look over his shoulder at what he's doing. "What ya doing?"
"Homework." He answers.
"Really?" I ask, climbing over the back of the couch and sitting down next to him. "Cause that doesn't look like homework?"
"Just some stuff for a prank." He answers thoughtlessly.
"Thought so." I mumble.
After about 15 minutes of me watching Fred scribble things down from over his shoulder, someone falls over the arm of the couch, their head landing on my lap.
"Hi." He says with a small smile, looking up at me.
"Hey George." I say, smiling back.
"I find it funny that you can tell us apart." George says with grin.
"So can Alex." Fred adds the goes back to his notes.
"Oh course he brings up Alex." George mutters.
"What?" I ask, getting very curious at the mention of my best friends name.
"He never stops talking about her when he gets the chance." He complains. "She's so peaceful when she reads, she's so cute when she's angry!" He whines, trying to do an impression of Fred.
"Oh Georgie, but aren't you the same way about little Alice over here?" Fred questions, a smirk making its way to his lips, finally looking up from his parchment.
"Thanks Freddie." George says, a small blush covering his pale freckled face.
I start laughing, I couldn't help it.
"Who wants to play exploding snap?" I offer.
"I do!" George says, perking up.
"Same!" Fred says.
And so we sit down on the ground and I pull out the deck of exploding snap cards I always have on me.
----------------------------------
We are just starting our fourth game when Alex comes walking in with a stack of books in her arms.
"Hey Alex!" I call, waving at her. She smiles back.
"Wanna join?" Fred asks. "We're playing exploding snap."
"Sure." She says with a nod. "Just let me feed the kneazle and I'll be right down."
She goes up the stairs and about 15 minutes later she comes stomping back down the stairs, with a scowl on her face.
"What's with you?" I ask as I shuffle the cards.
She sits down in between Fred and I.
"Angelina Johnson was in our room and yelled at me for the kneazle scratching her!" She growled.
"But there was a note!" I say, getting a bit angry myslef.
"Yeah, that's what I told her, but she just said, and I quote, 'I don't care if there was a note or not! You should train your filthy creatures.'" She growls.
"Angie said that?" Fred asks, sounding a bit shocked.
"You know she can go a bit crazy when she's angry." George tells him, not sounding too surprised at her actions.
"I'm going to go give her a piece of my mind, and if that doesn't work I'm gonna slap her." I say getting up, but George stops me.
"I already told her off." Alex states and quickly clams down.
"Just sit down and play, k?" George asks, pulling on my wrist a bit.
"Fine." I say, sitting down begrudgingly. "But if she bugs you again I'll beat that bitch."
The twins stare at me incredulously, probably because of my language and the fact that I actually sounded serious, and Alex just laughs, she's used to it.
