Chapter 7

I lay there for a few minutes, just trying to fall back asleep, when I finally give up.
I open my eyes slowly, regretting it the moment I do so, as the bright sunlight coming from the window shines into my barely open eyes.
I look over at the clock and see its:7:15.
I hate mornings!
I look over at Alex's bed to see her reading the Monster book of monster's
"G'morning," I say groggily rubbing my eyes.
"Morning sunshine, glad you finally woke up." She says, a little too loudly for this early in the morning, closing her book and standing up.
"Be waiting for you downstairs when you're ready, and get a move on I'm hungry." She says opening the door to the fourth year girls dorm.
"Oh shut it." I say grumpily dragging myself out of bed and towards the bathroom.

When Alex and I arrive in the great hall we see two empty seats away from the noisy morning people.
Walking down the space in the tables we see the Weasley twins talking to another boy about how to get past the age restriction on the goblet of fire.
"Trying to trick the goblet are we?" Alex says, raising a brow and stopping behind the twins.
"I wouldn't call it 'trying' if we are going to succeed." said George as he slightly turned around.
"But that's if you succeed." I join in.
"And who says we won't?" Says Fred.
"Care to make a bet on that? Ten sickles that you get rejected." An evil grin forming on Alex's lips as she says this.
"And if you want, you get 15 knuts extra if one of you is chosen." I add teasingly.
Turning to each other they wink with a smile.
Turning back to us they say "You're on." In sync.

Looking over our schedules for this morning, I have Advanced Potions first while Alex has Divinations.
"I might just end up skipping that class." She says, rolling her eyes.
"Oh don't do that, you need that class or else you'll just have to do it again next year" I say in a sort of motherly tone.
"But I don't think you understand how boring it is," she whines.
"Who knows maybe your true love is in that class and if you don't go you'll never meet him and then you'll be a lonely cat lady the rest of your life. And no you cannot move in with me and my husband." I babble.
"I doubt my 'true love'  is in my Divinations class." She huffs.
"You never know, I gotta go down to the dungeons now or I'll be late." I say checking my wrist watch. "Go to your class."
"Ya ya ya okay mom." She says dismissively rolling her eyes and I rush off towards advanced potions, hoping that I don't wind up late.
