Chapter 38

I could feel something tickling the side of my face and I slowly opened my eyes and came face to face with George smiling down at me, playing with my hair.
I felt my legs tangled up with Alex's and couldn't help but smile at the picture she and Fred made, and then I looked back to George, grinning back at me.
"Morning." He says, his morning voice a bit husky.
"Morning." I say, a small yawn escaping my lips.
He kisses me on my forehead and smiles at me.
"Sleep well, beautiful?" He asks sweetly.
"Beautiful?" I scoff.
"Just being honest." He says, a small smirk making its way to his lips.
I gave him a quick peck on the lips and watched as he turned a brilliant shade of scarlet.
"I did, thank you for asking.... Handsome." I say cheekily.
He smiles down at me and is about to say something when we both hear a gasp.
We look over to the stairs and see Ginny looking at us with wide eyes and a hand covering her mouth. The next thing we know she's running up the stairs.
We look at each other and I just shrug.
I lean back into his chest and get comfy, still feeling much too tired to get up.
After a few minutes of peace and quiet I was drifting to sleep when I hear a few people whispering and tiptoeing up and down the stairs. After a few more minutes I could hear a large group of people around us, whispering and giggling.
I opened one eye and saw, Ginny, Ron, Harry, Hermione, Neville, Collin Creevy, and a few other Griffindor's all crowded around us. I could feel Alex moving slightly and wasn't at all surprised when she snapped at them.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer."
And that's exactly what they did, about 10 actually, causing me to giggle slightly.
"You gotta send me those." Harry said smiling goofily.
"I can't believe anyone would fall for those two." Hermione said in a rather snarky tone.
"Excuse me!" I snap quietly, thinking Alex had fallen back to sleep.
"I haven't fallen for anyone." Alex says matter-o-factly, sitting up slightly, her eyes still closed, before falling back into Fred's arms and going back to sleep.
"Well I have, and I resent your comment." I snark, crossing my arms and sitting up, still in George's grasp.
He pulls me back into his chest and presses a kiss to my temple.
"Calm down, love." He says soothingly into my ear, causing me to shudder and lay my head on his shoulder.
"Hey Alice look, I woke sleeping beauty with true loves kiss." Fred says, causing me to open my eyes and smile at their adorableness.
"Hey Alex wanna go get breakfast before we leave." I ask, standing up and untangling myself from George's embrace.
"By the way, I want a copy of that picture too." I tell Collin.
"Sure let's go, and I want a copy too." Alex says as she stands up as well.
"Make that four copies." George and Fred say in unison, raising their right hands.

After breakfast Alex and I went up to our room to pack, since I'm going over to her place for Christmas break, I'm gonna take her bowling, haven't done that since last year.
"Have you told your parents about Tails yet?" I ask, folding and putting a pair of leggings in my trunk.
"No, but they probably won't even notice he's there." She answers with a shrug as she gets him in his cage.
"Oh right because your place is huge. More like a mansion than a house." I say as I put a few over sized sweaters in my bag.
"Oh please, it's not that big." She scoffs with a small wave of her hand.
"Either way I'm excited to spend the break with you outside of school." I say, turning to face her, a huge joker grin forming on my face as I think about not going home.
"I think the only way the break could be better for you is if George was coming too." She says with a devious grin.
"N-no!" I stammer, feeling my face get hot.
"You can't hide it from me, I know you want to be with him. Now spill it, are you two together yet or not?" She asks, leaning over to me.
I lowered my gaze from hers and looked at my shoes.
I tried to speak but all I could do was squeak out a simple,
"Yes."
"Fina-fucking-ly!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air in triumphant motion.
"Little overly excited much?" I ask, finally regaining my voice, and attitude.
"No way!" She exclaims, wars point her arms around me and pulling me into a bone crushing bear hug. "My little Alice is growing up."
"I've had boyfriends before, you haven't. Wait have you and Fred hooked up yet?!" I ask loudly, pushing her off slightly, and staring at her wide eyed.
"No and I told him that to his face. Now let's head down to the front gates." She stated, ending the topic and grabbing her stuff before walking out of the common room with me at her heels.
