Gonna move on a bit now. Babies take way too long to come.

Today we was going shopping. We found out we was having a beautiful boy and couldn't wait. Melissa is 27 weeks gone now and our boy is steadily growing.

We walked around the baby stores and Melissa awed over everything she saw, literally everything.

"We can't get him everything" I laughed.

She laughed. "I know, I can't wait for him to be here"

"Me neither"

It was her birthday tomorrow, and it was bonfire night too. I knew how much she loved fireworks and knew a great display that would be on. I wanted to take her.

We finished shopping and headed home. We were still living with Joan and Luke but we'll move out soon enough.

The next day I woke Melissa up with her presents. "Happy Birthday, baby" I kissed her.

She smiled. "How sweet of you to do this"

I laughed. "Open your presents"

I watched as she opened her cards and presents from me. Joan and Luke came in half way through and watched her with me.

She unwrapped the first present, which was a little box.

"Oh wow" she was beaming. "It's gorgeous" she hugged me and allowed me to place the promise ring on her finger.

"It best just be a promise ring as well" Luke joked.

We all laughed.

"Close your eyes" I told her.

She nodded and closed them.

I put a necklace around her neck. It had a letter L on.

When she opened her eyes and looked at it she asked what the letter meant.

"You'll find out later" I smiled.

She nodded.

Luke and Joan left the room. Where something casual and warm. We're going out for the day.

"Ok" she smiled. She seemed so much more happy lately. It made me happy too. I loved seeing her smile.

We both changed then went downstairs.

"Have fun you two, make sure you're safe" Joan said as we was leaving.

"We will" I said.

"Bye mum, bye dad" Melissa shouted, excitedly. She looked and wounded so much like a child. I loved her so much.

I took her hand. "First we're going to the cinema"

We took the bus to the cinema then went in. I paid and we went and sat in the screening.

"What are we watching?" She asked.

"That new romance you wanted to see"

We sat and watched the film. The final speech in the film was "you brought light into life"

Once it had ended, we went to a restaurant and ate. Once we'd finished, we took a small walk around a lake that wasn't far from the cinema. It was getting late so I took her to the night's finale.

"What are we doing on a muddy field, surrounded by people?"

"Wait and see"

Soon the firework display started. I put my hand around her waist and the other on her stomach.

We watched the fireworks together. They were so pretty.

Once they'd finished, I turned to her and pulled her close. "I love you, Melissa"

"I love you too" she blushed.

I kissed her, a lingering, heart felt kiss. The way it always felt when her lips touched mine.

When she pulled away, I whispered "Lucca"

"Lucca?" She asked.

"I want to name him Lucca"

She nodded. "It's beautiful"

"Bringer of light"

Her face lit up. "Today was all linked to the meaning of the name"

I nodded.

"Oh, Tristan! I love you so much"

"I love you too"
