Chapter 2

Grayson's POV
It was the end of the day and I was walking out of the school to my moms car when I saw Abby walk out of the building with her penny board.
"Hey wait up" I yelled and ran to her
"What do you want now" she said turning around.
"I just want to know why you are so hard to get to"
"What are you talking about?" She asked looking at me weird.
"It's like you block out every single guy who talks to you. You don't even give them a chance" I said stepping closer to her.
"Okay first of all that's not true. Second of all you have a girlfriend. And third of all I don't want anything to do with a fuckboy" she said
"For the last time I'm not a fuckboy" I said loudly.
"Yeah okay" she said and laughed. "Why do you care so much about being friends with me, I'm weird" she said with a serious face
"Maybe it's because you aren't like your sister. I don't want to hangout with someone who uses you or is fake. I want to hangout with a girl who will be willing to go on adventures and is confident in her own skin" I said getting really close to her.
"You know what I really need to get home. But it was nice talking to you" she said sarcastically and rode away on her penny board.
I was slowly chipping away to her heart. I don't know why I like her so much there's just something special about her.
------Abby's POV-------
"You know what I really need to get home. But it was nice talking to you" I said sarcastically and rode away on my penny board.
As much as I wanted him I couldn't give in. I promised myself I wouldn't let what happened to Payton happen to me. And if I wanted to be safe I had to stay away from all guys for now just to make sure.
I made it home in 10 minutes and ran up to my room.
"Hey Abby can I come in" Payton said knocking on my door.
"Sure" I said
"We really need to talk" she said and shut my door.
"What is it" I said sitting up
"it's about your attitude" she said sitting down next to me.
"What are you mom" I said and laughed.
"Look I know you are just trying to stay safe but that doesn't mean you have to be mean and rude to Grayson" she said making me roll my eyes.
"He's probably just like jake" I said
"No Abby he's not like jake he actually likes you and I know for a fact that he's not fuckboy" she said
"Why would he like me I'm ugly" I said
"You know what don't start with that lie you know your pretty okay we look the same" she said
"But I just don't want it to happen to me" I said quietly
"It won't okay I will protect you. You don't have to date him just please be nice to him, for me okay" she said
"Why do you care"
"Well I'm kinda dating his twin brother" she said and looked away from me.
"Payton it's only been a day you barely know him" I said
"I know but he's hot and it he's really nice to me" she said
"Please just be safe" I said
"Don't worry about me sis" she said and walked toward the door. "Just promise me to be nice to Grayson" she said before leaving.
I don't know if I should believe her but if she wants me to me nice to him then I will just for her.
-------the next day-------
Abby's POV
It's first period and I have it with Grayson.
I saw him walk into the room and we made eye contact, But he didn't sit next to me he said in the front of the class.
I got up to talk to him.
"Hey" I said standing next to his desk
"Hey" he said with a confused look on his face.
"Do you want to sit in the back of the room with me" I said pointing to my desk.
"Your actually talking to me, Abby what happened to you, yesterday you acted like you hated me and now you are a actually talking to me" he said and laughed.
"Don't get too excited Payton is making me talk to you" I said with a straight face
"Oh okay" he said getting up to sit in the back with me.
"So how are you?" he asked when he sat down
"I'm okay how are you?" I asked
"I'm happy" he said with that cute smile
"Why?"
"Because I was finally able to break up with my girlfriend" he said
"Why did you break up with her?" I asked
"She's just not the girl I want to be with" he said looking at the ground.
"Ooohhh you have a little crush" I said teasing him.
"Psshh no" he said
"You are such a terrible liar" I said and laughed.
"No I'm not" he said but before he could finish his sentence he was interrupted by the teacher
"Mr. Dolan is there a problem" the teacher said.
"No sir" he said and looked me.
-----lunch time-----
Abby's POV
It was lunch time and I really didn't feel like sitting with Payton and her new friends so I just sat at a table in the corner.
"Hey" I hear someone say.
I looked up and saw Grayson standing there.
"Hi. Why aren't you sitting with your friends?" I asked when he sat down.
"Because I feel like you need some company" he said
"I'm fine you can go sit with them. Really I'm fine by myself" I said
"No I want to sit here" he said
"Okay then"
"So I heard that Ethan is having Payton over tomorrow night. You should come that way me and you could hangout"
"And why do you want me to come exactly?" I asked
"I don't know I thought we were friends. Can't friends just hangout?" He asked.
"I mean I guess but I have to talk to Payton about it first"
"Okay. Well you should definitely come that way I'm not bored" he said and laughed.
"I'll think about it plus I have to talk to my parents and also Payton about it"
"Okay" he said and smiled
