I look at Veronica's confused expression. "I thought so too." I shrug my shoulders. "He's not," I murmur.
She quickly understands, her face falling. "Oh."
I nod.
Frank groans. "And I thought I wasn't the only guy. This would've become a great double-date, yeah?"
I swallow, giving Veronica a look that hinted her how I felt.
Veronica punches Frank's shoulder and takes him by the arm.
I follow them from behind, feeling like a third-party; an intruder.
As I pick out gifts from selected people, I have a sinking feeling in me that says this would've been better if I had Blue with me.
I would've been happier if he was here right now.
But, as usual, the stranger who fixed me left me broken once again.
