I was surrounded by loud cranking noises. I felt cold, bitter, and sharp gushes of wind. I was confused. I was in complete and utter darkness. There was clanging, whirring, grinding—I was alone. Confusion took ahold of the racing thoughts my consciousness was drowning in.

I began to stumble, tripping over wooden boxes, cargo, and whatever else found its way in front of me. I quickly realized how constrained I was—six metal walls. I was in a box. I was trapped.

The sound of metal chains being gridded against one another made me want to grind my teeth, my jaw clenching as my head continued to throb.

Suddenly, it was as if my brain had played catch-up with my horrifying reality.

     I didn't remember anything.

I had no memory. No recollection of who I was, where I was, and why I was now forcing myself up against the corner of my cage. I couldn't remember my name, or how old I was, or even the color of my hair—though, it felt long.

The box began to whirl upwards with a sudden jolt of pressure. I nearly toppled over, the metal grinding growing louder. It picked up its speed, causing an imbalance. I had managed to scrape my inner forearm on one of the wooden crates next to me that had shifted over with the sudden movement.

I winced slightly, only brushing the pain aside as a brining sensation made itself known. There was a warmth that slowly began to trickle down my arm—blood.

There were lights every so often that flew past the crate, just barely giving me enough line of sight to verify that I was indeed alone with a slight relief of knowing I wasn't in immediate danger.

Things in the wooden crates shook as glass jars rattled against each other. There seemed to be food, supplies, metal knives, and even a small pig in a cage which startled me once it let out a noise of distress. And for some odd reason, my stomach began to turn as if I needed to throw up from consuming overdue beverages.

I tried my best not to belch out, but it was no use. I vomited, clutching my stomach, almost feeling an odd churning pain in my gut. I wiped my mouth with my un-injured forearm, so desperately needing water.

     How did I get here?

I thought to myself as I then began to see a crack of light just up above me. I saw a slight flare of a red flashing lights coming closer and closer—an alarm blaring, startling me in the process.

"Light," I breathed out as I slightly stood against my feet. "Oh, thank Go-" I was cut off almost instantly as the box came to a full force stop, throwing me against the metal walls. I let out a grunt of pain, squinting my eyes from the sudden shock.

Then, there sudden noises.

Click

Clank

Crack

Whir

The lid of the metal crate then began to pry open up its door as the blinding sunlight nearly blinded me—squinting my eyes from the sudden pain; covering my face with my hands. I began to adjust to the blazing sun before I lifted myself up from the metal floor, slowly pushing myself up and out of the cage. My gazed was met with acres of land, towering trees, and what seemed to be natural order.

I stood firmly to my feet, turning slowly as I stood aghast at the sight beyond what I could see firsthand. Hundred foot tall concrete stone walls covered with moss and vines were seen in every direction.

     Was the hell?

I felt like I was secluded to some dystopian society, and at this point, just waiting for my demise.

I explored amongst the forest of trees. A nice long creek seemed to flow down into nothingness—naturally, that felt unnatural.

My mind began to race—where I was going to sleep, how I was going to continue on with resources, or even how I was going to survive with nothing to show for it. It felt odd to be self-aware of basic survival instincts, yet be completely at a loss with who I even was.

I decided to head back to the box and count everything I received that came up with me. Hopefully, each item was satisfactory for my needs. I took a deep breath realizing the situation I found myself in.

I was in complete shock—though no tears, no screaming.

Within minutes, I grabbed a few of the items in the metal cage and decided to make myself a hammock with such resources. I jumped out of the box once again, now focused on a pair of clothes that had been folded neatly.

Then all of a sudden, a big gust of wind came flying the giant stone wall openings. A loud boom had jolted off, startling me as I frantically examined my surroundings.

     Shuck.
     The bloody walls actually move.
