The school day has begun,
You stand in a spot, hanging around,
Acting distant and irregular,
As if there isn't a crowd.
You have no friends, nor do you care.
All you want is to go home, have some fun,
Forget about people and relationships.
It's all about you until your life is done.
You were never this cold, this selfish,
This far removed. You were nice, friendly,
Someone who I wanted to be with.
All that's changed, and not for the best.
I don't like thinking about this,
But I really must say
I'm afraid of you, and I don't
Want it to be that way.
How is it I can make you see,
That who you are isn't
Who you're meant to be?
Please don't be so solitary, please go
Back to socializing. I want to help you,
But I don't know how.
I don't like dealing with people, as much as you do,
And I know you don't like me, but I don't care.
You might think that I'm an idiot and a tool,
But I'm also a person,
And people make mistakes.
So before I keep on hurting,
I want to ask you again:
Will you be my friend?
Goodbye for now, I'm leaving in weeks.
If you want to be my friend again,
Then it must be my offer you seek.
If you want to be lonely, then feel free to act.
But try to remember, you can be a good friend,
And that in itself is a fact.
