Chapter 8

Sohyun's POV:

I woke up by the sound of a loud whistle repeating over and over again. I opened my eyes and thanked God for this another day.

"Students! Everyone, rise and shine!" I heard my homeroom teacher yelling.

"Aaaaah, teacher!" I heard Sungjae yelled from the other tent.

I smiled and got up then I peeped outside my tent.

"I want everyone to the main camp in five minutes!" The teacher said.

I sighed and I was about to go back inside when my eyes caught Yook Sungjae looking at me. He is peeping from his tent, too.

He smiled immediately and said, "Good morning, Sohyun-ssi!"

"G-good morning..." I don't know why I suddenly stuttered and felt shy. I quickly went back inside and felt the strange beating of my heart. Why am I like this?

I sighed and got ready to go out.

Sungjae was walking before me with Changsub and Peniel when I came out of the tent.

"Aaah, my neck hurts!" Peniel said.

"You too?!" Changsub asked.

"Yes."

"What about you, Sungjae-ah?" Changsub turned to him.

"I'm fine. I had a nice sleep." He answered.

"Right. He got the prize of a much upgraded tent than all of us. Him and Sohyun." Peniel said.

"You slept in the same tent with her?! Woah, Yook Sungjae!" Changsub said with wide eyes.

My eyes widened as well. Sungjae hit his head lightly and said, "No! Do you think that's possible?!"

I breathed out.

"But Sungjae-ah, do you really like her?" Peniel asked.

I stopped walking for a moment. I felt like Sungjae turned his head a bit at the back. Does he know I'm behind them?

"Hm... well, she's interesting." He replied and something felt like rumbling inside my stomach especially when he added, "I think it's something like that. I don't know yet."

I was frozen from where I'm standing. I bit my nails and realized what I feel. I want to scream. I feel crazy. What is this? After a while of thinking blankly, I ran to the main camp where everyone else is starting a morning exercise.

"What took you so long?" Sungjae asked when I came.

Instead of responding, I just looked at him remembering what he said back there.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

I just nodded and turned my back on him then I started exercising but my mind was flying... flying to the person next to me.

"Stop now! I'll give you 20 minutes to pack all your things, go back here after. Do I make myself clear?" The teacher said, seeing that we are all sweating from the morning exercise that she made us do.

Well, I didn't really do so much because of my injuries from yesterday. Maybe I sweat because of the sun heat.
I was walking back to my tent when I saw Sungjae and his friends running back to the tents. Do they even get tired?

I walked slowly because I still can't do it straightly. After a few seconds only, I saw Sungjae coming towards me.

My heart suddenly beats like a drum. I just stared at him not knowing what to do.
