I awkwardly did the braids of Sohyun's hair while we were sitting upon the beach.

I impatiently let it go and frowned. "Yah! I really can't do this!" I whined.

She turned her head slightly at the back to get a glimpse of me. She was frowning and said, "You were almost there! Almost done! C'mon, start again." She said.

"Aish..." I muttered, scratching my head before starting again. "Am I your hairstylist? No, am I your servant?" I asked and kept complaining while doing her hair.

She smiled and giggled. "If you'd have a daughter in the future, you would thank me for this."

"No, I'll have you as my wife to do this instead of me." I replied and smirked. Without knowing, I finished braiding her hair so I tied it, almost complicatedly. "Done!" I said with proudness in my voice.

"See? You're capable." She said.

I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist from the back, then I placed my chin on her shoulder, resting it there. "I think our future daughter is going to like me." I said.

She snorted. "Think of that when we finish college." She replied.

I frowned and pulled myself a bit away. "Heol, you're really the sweetest girlfriend ever." I said with full sarcasm.

Instead, she smiled sweetly and turned around. "I know right." She said and placed her arms around my neck.

She stared at me for a moment and I did the same, watching strands of her hair getting blown by the wind. Her skin color got better and she gained weight in just two months of recovery.

"Sungjae-ah..." She called.

"Mm?"

I cupped her cheeks and brushed the tip of my nose against hers.

"When I was in the hospital, somehow, I think you appeared in my dream." She said.

"I did?"

I asked, pulling her closer to me.

She nodded. "I don't know. It wasn't so clear. You just kept on calling my name, then telling me you were thankful."

I took away the strands of hair on her face and tucked them behind her ears. "Really? I dreamed of you, too."

"What was it about?" She asked.

I looked at her. "The same thing you said just now."

Her eyes widened. "Perhaps... did we really meet in our dreams?!" She asked.

I smiled and pinched her cheeks. "Maybe, but what's more important to me is to meet you right here, right now even if I won't see you in my dreams. Reality with you is much better than a blurry dream."

"I'm sorry." She said, pouting.

"Why?"

She started playing with my shirt in the back, twisting it in her fingers. "Because it's been hard for you. It really was. And thank you because you stayed with me through it all. I've never even dreamed to receive a love like yours before. I'm... so thankful for that. Also... I love you." She said, her cheeks getting red.

I chuckled and pinched her cheeks. "I love you, too. And thank you for fighting it with me."

"Sungjae-ah, we're young and a lot of things could happen in the future... I hope what we feel right now would stay the same even after many years. I... want to live making memories with you and I want to achieve my dreams knowing you're by my side. Maybe it won't be easy, but I hope you would never get tired of me." She said looking down, feeling shy while she talks with pure love and sincerity.
