Sungjae's POV

I was having a good time with Sohyun. I was happy until I received a call from my aunt but it was from my mom's phone number.

"Your mom wants you to come here since it's weekend. She fainted again and she keeps on calling your name."

Our house is a 30-minute drive from the school. Sohyun was quiet the whole time. I feel bad that I ruined it for her. I wanted to make it something she would always remember but unexpected things happen.

I noticed that she has fallen asleep in just a while. I wonder how she could sleep so easily even at times like this.

We arrived to my family's house and I had to wake her up. "Ah... are you sure you want me to come with you?" She asked.

I smiled. "Why not?" I asked and removed her seatbelt for her.

The ladies serving our house for a long time bowed their heads to us. I kept walking because I was used to it while Sohyun kept on bowing back. A smile crept on my face while looking at her.

When it ended, I heard her breathe out. I chuckled. "It's okay even if you don't do it." I said.

She frowned. "Am I you? But... are you okay?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I'm just a little worried about mom. She's sick."

"Sick?!"

"Don't worry, it's not as bad as you think. Maybe it's just stress or I don't know yet.. I'll talk to my aunt."

She nodded. "Ah... I hope she's okay."

I smiled. "Is it okay if you wait for me here?" I asked making her sit in the living room.

"Of course! I'll wait..."

I messed her hair a bit before entering my mom's room. I immediately saw her lying on her bed and my aunt sitting beside her.

"What happened?" I asked my aunt, then I turned to mom, "Are you okay?"

"Son, I'm so happy you came." She said.

"Are you okay?" I repeated.

She smiled tiredly. "Yes, I guess I'm okay now that you're here. Will you stay longer?" She asked.

"No, I came with a friend. I just-"

"Did you rush here after your aunt's phone call?" She asked.

I sighed. "Yes, I was worried about you so please take care of yourself."

She smiled again. "Aigoo, my son... really loves her mom."

I frowned and turned to my aunt. "Can we talk?"

"Yes."

"Then, mom, I'm leaving. You know final exams are coming." I said.

"Are you studying well?"

"I'm trying."

Then I went outside with my aunt who's also our family doctor. "What happened to her?"

"She took a bit too much of her anti-depressants. By the sound of it, you know it's not good. She's also lacking a lot of sleep lately. Try to talk to her more often, will you?" She said, then she held my shoulder. "Sungjae-ah, stop giving the cold shoulder to your mother... instead, try to talk with her every day. Maybe she'll get better like that."

I nodded. "Alright."

She smiled then, "You haven't changed at all. Pretending you don't care even when you do... I would thank the person that would make you care and show it at the same time."
