Chapter 14

Sohyun's POV

It's been a few days since I came back to school and everyone would ask me why I was gone but they stop eventually when I don't answer... or when Sungjae, Changsub, and Peniel would stop them.

Sungjae and I are still fighting it together. He wakes me up as usual every morning even if we don't live in the same dorms anymore. He gives me a ride home every day after school, too.

We are also busy practicing for our upcoming play this week. Time has passed this quick. I can't believe of how much I've done in a short time.

I get weaker each day so I spend less time in classes sometimes and the teachers already know about my condition so they allow it.

Of course, it's what I was afraid of, the time that they would look at me with pity. When they treat me not nicely, but with pity. They look at me like I'm someone who'll die for sure.

But I don't mind them as long as I have Sungjae beside me.

We were practicing after school when he suddenly put down the papers and looked at me. "What?" I asked.

"Sohyun-ah, let's do our second date." He said.

I chuckled. "Practice. Let's practice."

He pouted. "Aaaah, Sohyun-ah, go on a date with me." He said in a cute way that made me laugh.

"Now?!" I asked.

"Now." He replied.

"Okay."

"Okay?! Really?!"

"Yes."

"Yes!"

At first, he just drove around while we listen to music. We still don't know where to go but being with each other already feels great.

We were having fun with a random song on a radio when a sad ballad one suddenly came up.

You don't have to but if by chance

I wasn't talented but I made you laugh for a little while

Would you remember me if you hear the song that we used to listen to?

Sungjae cleared his throat. "L-let's turn it off." He said.

I didn't say anything. We stopped in front of the cinema.

"What movie would you like to watch?" He asked.

"Comedy." I replied.

He frowned. "I thought you would say romance."

I chuckled. "We both need to laugh, come on."

We decided to watch Minions and laughed a lot, indeed. I don't even know how much popcorn I've put in my mouth and choke everytime I would laugh.

Sungjae gave me a bottled water and I was drinking when a funny scene came up and a bit of water came out of my mouth.

"Aigoo! So careless." He said and took a tissue to wipe my mouth.
