Sungjae's POV

I didn't feel good when I saw Sohyun shaking hands with a random guy. I quickly ran to them and asked who he is.

"He's a new student here and he liked our play today." She responded with a smile.

"Is that so?" I said and took Sohyun's hands. "Let's go?" I asked.

"Yah, Yook Sungjae..." She called.

Sohyun's POV

"It's okay. It's really nice to meet you." Minhyuk said, smiling.

He has a different charm and I can foresee how his popularity would blow-up in this school.

Sungjae didn't even introduce himself and quietly brought me to the car.

"Yah, what's wrong with you? You seemed rude to that person..." I said.

"He didn't introduce himself to me, so why would I?" He replied.

A grin crept on my face, then I chuckled. "Yah..."

"What? What? Why are you smiling like that?" He asked, defensively.

"Are you jealous?" I asked.

He snorted. "What?! Me? Why? I am better looking than him!" He said.

"Aish..." I said frowning.

"I'm taller, too." He added.

"Where do you get all the confidence-"

"It's not being over-confident. I just know myself and there's no need to deny it." He said and smirked.

I covered my ears. "Stop!"

He laughed later and pinched the tip of my nose. "Don't ever talk to handsome guys again!"

I turned my head to the other side and stared outside the window. A few seconds have passed when he talked again, "Yah... are you mad?" He asked.

I didn't answer.

"Why are you not talking?" He asked again.

I looked at him. "Aish, you told me not to talk to handsome people..." I said that made him smile. We both laughed on the way back home.

Sungjae's POV

"How could you..." I didn't get to keep on speaking. I was out of words after what my father said.

"I told you to leave that girl. She won't be any good to you. Love? What do you know about falling in love when you can't even-"

"At least, I know it more than you do." I said, clenching my fists.

"Alright! You are pushing me to do this. I'm going to ask your aunt to not accept that girl as her patient! Cancer? Are you out of your mind?! How could you say you love someone who's dying!"

"DAD!" I yelled back. "I could only hear so much of your piercing words, but please don't talk like this about Sohyun! She's not dying!"

"Stupid little bastard, alright, I'll let you be with that girl but don't expect your aunt to be the one who would-"

"Dad, please... I would do anything just don't touch anything that has to do with Sohyun." I said.
