Chapter 12

Darcy's POV......

I placed Alpha's bags in the back of the carriage. I glanced up at the window to Ember's room and saw the faint outline of a spiderweb, with no spider. I clenched my teeth in anger and approached the mansion's front door. I grabbed the handle and pulled it open. Alpha stood in front of Ciel and they were talking quietly.

Sebastian walked down the stairs with the last of Ciel's luggage. I side glanced at him and he stopped beside me, facing the door while I faced the stairs. "A spiderweb is outside my Alpha's window, the others should keep and eye out while we are gone." I told Sebastian.

He simply walked off not to draw attention to himself, though I had told Ember he had not told his master. I saw finny walk in the door, and Sebastian passed on the news."We should get going." Ciel said and headed towards the door.

I stepped aside and allowed him and my Alpha to pass. I followed them out the door and towards the carriage Sebastian held the door open, I glared back at the spider's web one last time. You won't touch my Alpha. I thought. "Come Darcy." I heard Alpha.

"Yes Alpha." I replied and climbed into the carriage, sitting beside her.

Time skip......

The carriage bumped along the rocky road. "The last place Mr. Bosworth was seen alive was Brass Clock Bar." Ciel said.

"Let's start there then." Ember suggested.

The carriage stopped. "We are already here." He said dully as Sebastian opened the carriage door.

I allowed them to go ahead of me and I got out last. The Brass Clock was a very fancy bar telling from the outside. The door was surrounded by a bar of brass, as well as the windows and the walls were made of a dark colored wood. I walked ahead of the two, who were already almost at the door. "Now you open it." Ember growled.

"Yes alpha." I replied opening the door and they entered.

Sebastian walked up and grabbed the door. "Go ahead." He offered and I took it, nodding in thanks.

Ember approached the bar, Ciel not far behind. Ciel pulled out a picture of Daniel before he was mangled and showed it to the shop owner. "Never seen him." I heard him state as he continues to clean a glass with a white rag.

"Really? It says this was he last place he was." Ciel asked confused, looking down at the report.

The bartender looked at the date on the report "I wasn't working that night but Thomas was, he's in the back you can ask him." The bartender said, throwing the rag over his shoulder and placing the cup under the counter.

"Yes thank you." Alpha replied and lead Ciel behind the bar and through a door.

I followed them with Sebastian behind me. I walked in and over Ciel I could see a man sitting in a big chair and reading a news paper. "Thomas?" Ciel asked.

"Yes that's me." The man said getting to his feet.

"What do you know about this man?" Ciel asked holding up the picture once more.

I could see the man's eyes widen ever so slightly and a thin drop of sweat dripped down his face. "I uh....." he stammered.

"You what?" Ember demanded.

The man turned and fled through the back door. "Sebastia-" Ciel began but Alpha cut him off.

"Darcy's got it." She said holding up a hand to stop him mid sentence. "Go!" She told me.

I nodded and raced after him, the silk on my dress flowing behind me. I gained on him, and he suddenly turned around and pointed a gun at me. I ducked and struck him in the stomach with my knee. I then grabbed his hand holding the gun and bent it awkwardly behind his back, taking the gun. He screamed in agony, his bone inches from shattering. "Spill it." Ember said catching up with me.

"I don't know anything I'm telling you!" He lied out of terror.

"That's a bad choice, my maid can break your whole arm beyond repair in one swift movement." Ember growled, looking at him with anger.

"Fine! He came in two weeks ago on Tuesday, a man by the name of Williams paid me to keep my mouth shut and he took him. I don't know what he did, he headed east!" Thomas yelled.

Ember bent in front of him and stared him straight in the eye. "Thank you. Let him go." She said.

I released his arm, which snapped back much like a rubber band. He fell forward on his knees and started rubbing his arm."Let's go." Ciel said. "I have an idea of where he went."

I dropped the man's gun beside him, and followed them back to the Carriage. "To Williamson Butcher." Ciel said.

I smiled, smart boy I thought. The marks on the bodies were obviously from a meat grinder, but the killer must have good reason to mangle the bodies or just be insane.

I climbed in the carriage behind Ciel and Alpha. I took my seat beside Ember and noticed she looked very happy. Little creep I thought humorously. She was most likely happy to see where someone died. She didn't like killing, but she could never pass up an death like this one, she was intrigued.

I glanced away from her and noticed Sebastian was looking at me but when I looked at him he looked away quickly. I shrugged it off and looked out the window, watching the stars in the night sky.
