Zach followed behind Owen and Barry, they had been walking for almost two hours since they had gotten down from the boat and so far they had just found a few footsteps and then nothing but the marks of wild animals; to say that the group was starting to get stressed out was an understatement.

"Check the radio" Barry suggested, they had been checking the radio a few times but they had only gotten static and that was making the mood worse for everyone.

Owen looked at Barry and stopped, the huge prehistoric foliage around them was without doubt beautiful but at the same time it screamed danger; danger because they didn't fully know what lurked behind the trees and plants, good for them that one of the biggest threats was now hunting someone else.

Owen pulled out the radio and tried all the stations he knew worked in the islands owned by InGen, his heart was pounding hard in his chest as he prayed to the God he had forgotten after his parents had died, that Bea's voice would rush out of the radio.

Zach felt his heart stop in its tracks as the static stopped, Barry turned to look at Owen and Owen clenched his hands harder against the radio.

"Hello?" Owen spoke, he released the button and waited for a few seconds for an answer.

But no answer came.

"Hello?" spoke Owen once, his voice rising and his heart threatening to break if he didn't hear someone answer.

"Hello!"

"Oh god" whispered Zach, he stepped towards Owen; Barry had held his breath as the voice at the other end of the radio answered.

"Bea?" croaked Owen; Zach looked at Owen with shock and confusion, couldn't he tell that the voice at the other end of the radio belonged to a man?

"Owen?" answered the voice.

"It's Lowery!" gasped Zach, he knew Lowery almost by memory, in Bea's time at the park the tech man had turned into her best friend.

"Lowery!" called Owen "Lowery are you ok?"

"Oh god it works!" Lowery's voice sounded fractured, but Barry knew better than to blame it on the bad reception, he knew Lowery was about to break into tears.

"Where are you? Are you ok? Where's Bea?!" Owen instigated Lowery with question, Barry walked up to his best friend and gently took the radio out of his hands, Owen glaring at him as the radio left his hands.

"Let me talk"

And even though Zach was burning inside to hear the voice of the girl he had fallen in love with, he knew that Barry was the only one that was acting calm enough to talk with the two people they had to rescue.

"Hello?!" Lowery's voice sounded horrified that he had been left behind.

"Lowery" spoke Barry "It's Barry, are you ok?"

"Yes!" cried Lowery, "We are fine!"

"Where are you?" asked Barry, he glanced at Zach and Owen, he could almost see their hearts about to explode if Lowery didn't answer.

"We found a tech center" explained Lowery "Well, Bea found it and we spend the night here and I can't walk and.... His voice broke and Barry closed his eyes with hurt as he heard his friend crying on the other side of the radio.

"Oh god please don't say that something happened to Bea" thought Zach, without knowing that Owen was thinking the exact same thing.

"Lowery" whispered Barry "Is everything ok?"

"Please help us" whispered Lowery.

"Where are you?" asked Barry.

"I'm at the tech center, its by a clearing" he made a pause.

"Ok, don't move we are going to get you"

"Barry" spoked Lowery between sobs, and Barry knew bad news were on the way. "Bea is not here"

"What?!" gasped Barry.

"She left to look for you this morni...

And the radio signal died.

Bea sat over a rock, her face buried in her hands as she tried to think of some kind of plan, she had been walking for a few hours and she had gotten nowhere, she hadn't seen the place where Lowery had almost broken hi leg, he hadn't seen the place where Andrew had ditched them and less of all had she seen the beach.

"I'm lost" she whispered, she looked up, her eyes were glossy with the start of tears but she refused to cry, she had to help Lowery and she wouldn't be able to do that.

Crack!

Bea's eyes darted to her left as something broke in the shadows of the forest, her heart pounding madly in her chest; her hand curled around the stick she had found a few minutes after leaving Lowery but if the thing out there was bigger than a Compy a stick would be as useless as a water gun.

"Please be Andrew, please be Andrew" she thought as she pushed herself up to her feet and started to walk away from the source of the noise "Please be Andrew!"

Another crack and Bea turned on her heels and started to run into the unknown, once more, her legs pushing her deeper into the forest as her mind screamed at her to go back before she got lost even more.

But as Bea dashed away from the rock she had been using as a seat, a tall, dangerous creature emerged from the shadows and trotted behind Bea, four other creatures following the first one; there was no hurry in jumping over Bea just yet, there was always something fun in making the prey run around; because they could smell Bea's fear and there was nothing better than that.
