Andrew grunted as he climbed down the tree he had spent the night on, he had walked for hours the day before until he had heard dangerous sounds in the falling night and he had still not found the Tech Center. His hands felt raw and his left wrist had dried blood over it from a cut he had gotten when he had been climbing the tree the day before.
"I need to get out of here" he thought as his feet touched the ground, he cleaned his hands over his dirty jeans and looked around; rapidly he glanced down at his watch just to find it was almost noon.
Andrew wasn't sure how much he had walked the day before but he felt it had been forever, as he took a deep breath he decided to walk to what he thought was south in search of the Tech Center once more or maybe even the help they had managed to call when he had been with Bea and Lowery.
The young man started walking down the jungle, the trees and plants giving a nice shade from the high burning Costa Rican sun; as he made his way down a slope he wondered what had happened to Bea and Lowery and for a few moments he wished he had stayed with Bea.
"No, I would have died if I had stayed with them" he reminded himself as he pushed a huge leaf away from his face and continued to walk "Lowery was dead weight and you know it" he continued to think "Yes but after everything it almost felt like I knew Bea, I found that information for Hoskins," he sighed as he pushed his hair away from his face, sweat rolling down his face and his neck "Yeah but she was going to let me die back at the ship if Lowery hadn't opened the door"
Andrew paused, he felt like he had been walking for hours, the heat was getting worse and there was still no sight of the Tech Center or the beach or anything that could assure his survival, as a matter of fact the lack of water and food was also starting to take a toll on Andrew's body.
As he hunched over his knees and closed his eyes to try to regulate his body, a soft almost inaudible growl started a few feet behind Andrew; it took the young man a few seconds to detect the sound once it had started to get louder. With his heart beating madly in his chest, Andrew turned on the ball of his feet and found a Dilophosaurus looking at him, its hands up to its bright green chest and its head cocked slightly to the left.
"Oh shit" whispered Andrew, he took a step back as the animal continued to watch him. "No, no, no" he stuttered, trying to move as carefully as he could so he wouldn't startle the creature. "Oh God please no"
The Dilphosaurus cocked its head to the other side, its dark eyes watching as Andrew continued to step back; she was still not sure if the strange moving creature in front of her was dangerous or not, he didn't look dangerous.
Andrew had been able to put a few feet between himself and the dinosaur, but he wasn't sure what to do anymore, he was sure that if he started to run the creature would start giving chase but his mind couldn't think about anything else to do.
"Run!" he screamed in his mind "Run now!"
And with that last lousy advise, Andrew turned on the ball of his feet so fast the dinosaur jolted with surprise just as Andrew threw himself forward and started to run, his legs burning with fatigue from the lack of food or water but as the adrenaline kicked in Andrew could barely feel the pain.
The Dilophasaurus growled as she watched the creature starting to run, she leaned forward and after letting out a small hiss, she started to run behind the strange creature that was now almost completely out of sight.
Andrew pumped his legs as he ran down the jungle and the slope, his hands stretched forward to push away the branches and leaves that could hit him on the face or scratch him. He glanced once over his shoulder just to get a glimpse of the dinosaur appearing behind him, he turned to the front and as he jumped over a small rock, he landed painfully as his ankle threatened to throw him to the floor. Andrew stumbled forward and as he rushed between two trees, he crashed face first against something bigger than the Dilophosaurus.
And as he crashed against the unknown, he screamed; Andrew screamed like he had never screamed before, he screamed with terror of being attacked by the Dilophosaurus and he screamed with shock as he crashed with pain.
The Dilophosaurus was about to jump over the strange creature as it dashed between two trees when she heard an ear shattering scream and came to a halt instantly; she looked around as the scream continued and her survival instinct decided that it was better if she stopped the chase; nothing was worth getting yourself killed for, no matter how interesting the strange creature looked.

Bea dashed across the jungle, her back pack slamming itself against her back, the water bottles starting to hurt her back as she continued to run; she looked over her shoulder but she couldn't see anything behind her, but she knew better, that she couldn't see it didn't mean it wasn't out there.
With her lungs on fire, Bea stopped next to a tree and leaned against it, the air felt like millions of daggers as she panted and her heart was beating so rapidly in her chest she felt like she was about to faint; her eyes fluttered, trying to close for a few seconds but Bea fought against it and looked around.
"Where are you?" whispered Bea, her throat and her tongue felt like sand.
But there seemed to be nothing out there, but she could feel something watching her and that unnerved her more than anything because if there was something out there, Bea Grady knew what was happening: she was being hunted.
And as her body started to regain strength, a green creature dashed out of a bush and Bea's heart skipped a beat as she recognized a Compy. She young woman sucked in air as she prepared herself to kick and scream and punch if she had to defend herself against the creature; but to her surprise the Compy dashed past her at full speed.
Then another Compy emerged from the same bush and then another and then another, all of the dozen Compys rushing at full speed as they dashed past Bea, almost as if she wasn't there.
And then a realization hit the young Grady sister, something that froze her blood but made her push herself away from the tree and start running behind the Compys.
"They are escaping from something!"
And if Bea hadn't been escaping alongside the Compys towards a clearing with tall pastures, she would have heard Andrew screaming with terror.
